The Daily Grind: Which MMO doesn't get the respect it deserves?

Apr 4th 2012 2:34AM (Massively)
Mabinogi is one game I'd love to see get some more loving from.

Yes NEXON customer service may not be very good, but you've got to love how unique the game is as you can't possibly find another anything like it

One game which the OP didn't mention was Mabinogi, they are just about to release their new merchant destiny which makes it even more viable to play the game completely through crafting/gathering

The Summoner's Guidebook: It's time to get serious!

Not sure when this article was actually written, but with the latest Fiora patch Riot has made some changes to the golem camp

- Small Golem camp
- Movement Speed increased to 300 from 180
- Medium Golem base damage increased to 59 from 54

When we used to do this camp it consisted of one person "leashing" essentially while the carry killed the golems, but with the movement speed increase and damage it makes it a bit harder.

Just thought I'd add this here in case it was missed. Don't want to lead beginners in to a death from a minion before the game has even started :p

@TortoiseCan

Personally I reckon Mabinogi had a pretty good crafting system too, albeit extremely grindy buy heavily rewarding

@pid

That's what I used to do a few years back too, but the thing is back then MMO betas were only coming out once every few months, not once every other week like today.

@octoberasian Wow I can't believe I had to login to this just to comment on your horribly misinformed post, since you obviously played a game once and expect it to stay the same for the rest of it's lifetime then you are terribly mistaken

"F2P games that limit access to storyline or missions:
- Mabinogi"

Yes this was true for the game AT LAUNCH, after the update of generation 9 which was only about 2 years ago, lots of the game opened up to free players, storylines have all been part of the free service ever since.

Please don't post stuff about games spreading the wrong information on games that you don't actually keep up to date with.

Thanks

Yep and they tell you to send a ticket on the forums just so you can get a "Due to the high volume of tickets, we cannot respond to you right away because we don't actually have anybody recruited in customer support" reply back to you

Thanks for giving a shout-out to Mabinogi... whilst Nexon has been going through it's fair share of problems with the game lately, it really doesn't get enough coverage

Ask Massively: Paying-to-win edition

@(Unverified) While I agree with your view on Dragon Nest, I actually quite like how they've done Mabinogi's cash shop.

Although some of the pots are ridiculously expensive and cost more than a meal at maccas, being able to fully enjoy the game by just buying a few pets is pretty win for me.
