The Secret World pre-order packages feature beta access, lifetime sub, and more

Apr 3rd 2012 12:52PM (Massively)
only 3 character slots is ok with me - since you can swap out skills having a ton of characters really is not needed IMO. For people that like to have a lot of different looking character this could be a problem.

Lifetime sub doesn't really interest me. The add-on packages are interesting (Faction Leather...) but seem a bit pricey.

I am left to wonder if any part of the add on packs will be made available later as individual purchase options.

Just poking around on the OF and it seems there is a bit of a payment cluster F**k going on at the moment so I think I will wait until they get things sorted before taking the plunge.

Why I Play: Star Wars: The Old Republic

@MMOaddict

Yeah, the whole 'killing tons of mobs makes you feel heroic" part was a bit lost on me as well. I think that had the opposite effect on me. Sort of reminded me of wading through trash mobs you had out-leveled.

Parts of the game i enjoyed and I can see where a lot of people would really get into this game though.

I have a real aversion to games that nickle and dime you as much as WOT does.

Modern Fantasy - 2 faction sandbox Like the Fae on Lost Girl would be interesting.

Scope out MechWarrior Online's high-octane action

@JohnSGalt

Really you think That I did not know that. I cut my teeth playing battletech on the tabletop so I know all about slow pace.

Quite honestly the slow pace is going to be a turn off for a lot of players that are used to more hyper FPS style combat. ( Hawken seems to have that down pretty well)

Personally for me the slower pace is fine - makes twitch much less of an issue.

@Maximum Proxy

Yeah I would have to agree. Dont get me wrong I love battletech.mechwarrior but the pace of combat/gameplay shown in that trailer looks pretty slow when compared to Hawken.

still there were a few glimmers of hope

The one LRM salvo from A LOOONG way off looked interesting. I also liked the speed bonus of the jenner. (basically running rings around the hunchback)

I eventually get bored with both but I probably get more bored with PVP.

@Oskiee

I agree. I think it actually looks better than the atlas and the atlas looks freaking amazing.
