I'm just not really into the whole idea of turning story driven, rich, immersive, single player RPG's into dumbed down MMOs for a bunch of grown men that still think junior high insults are funny. Though I suppose I don't have to play it. So no I wouldn't.
A good Steam-punk MMO; not some bad big boobed final fantasy version of one. So in my bitter fashion there isn't an MMO of this genre yet.
Cyber-punk: I would most definitely check out a well done one. Though I suppose Neocron was the closest thing to this. I don't think there has been one of the genre since then. Does the Matrix MMO even count?
I get the feeling an MMO for this game would completely destroy everything it is about. The general population of people that play MMOs are probably the worst kind. I'm not entirely sure if I'm ready to be in a truly immersive world full of exploring and sandbox fun with a bunch of kids arguing whether it is a WoW clone or not on top of being insulted every 5 seconds with junior high slang.
All of their games are way too serious and rich to be MMOs in my opinion. It would be a watered down, must stick to certain guide lines or be insulted and sanctioned from groups, race to the end or die game. Though maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm just jaded and cynical about every single MMO that has spawned since UO, EVE, and Planetside.
This is exactly how I've felt for a very long time. Every new MMO coming out people praise it and act like it will end world hunger. The moment someone tries to be objective about the features, or questions its ability to up hold they are scolded and down voted into oblivion.
The game then comes out and 2 months later every one is onto something new doing the same old routine they did with the last one. People start posting about the dream MMO they want and "feel" like a lot of people would agree with them.
Every one has their dream MMO but what people don't realize is that companies have to make a profit and there for must do things that makes money. There are technology barriers as well. What seems so easy is often times not all.
@(Unverified) They don't care if Valve uses the name. They just don't want Valve trademarking it. Blizzard want to keep it open, Valve wants to own it.

Off topic: we need more indie developed MMOs.
