Got to say I think Netdevil have made a huge mistake making this game subscription based. I think they would of been better off making it a box price purchase with a cash shop. There is not enought in the game to justify a sub as far as I could tell there are only two things to do that is grind and build.
I can see people having fun with it for there 30 days but after that I think people will just go back to other games with more meat. I can see kids having fun with it but I cant see parents being willing to shell out for the sub when there are other games out there which kinda do the same thing for cheaper.
Im going to wait and see before I resub back up as at low levels it was still wait hammer for me. I like the RVR when I could get in to it but there was to much waiting about and it was hard to keep pve and rvr level the same. They need to make it so that all Tiers are active as whats the piont of making T4 really cool if people have problems getting there via T2 and T3.
Apart from the fact that a degree takes hard work time and study. While rep items just take time. I can see where your coming from but its not a competative game like say Warhammer Online where changes like this might have an effect its a mainly PVE game. Where does it harm your enjoyment of the game if some one uses there money to buy a rep horse or potions or even other items.
The grind in lotro is easy it just takes time and if you work and enjoy the game why should you not be able to spend money on stuff like fluff and pots pr even items that help you level.
The PvE cap might be rank 40 but the real cap is RR 80 and the magority of players are not RR 80 yet. They would of been better off anoucing two news races a new pairing rather than Skaven (not playable at level one we want to do some thing differnt) and 20 more rvr ranks. But the full anoucement comes this saturday so maybe there will be more to come but its not excatly setting the MMO world on fire.
