Don't panic -- Massively's getting a makeover! [Update #5]

Nov 23rd 2010 4:44AM (Massively)
So, I lost my username??

The site is all looking new and unfamiliar.
I'm not sure if I can recover from that.

Seriously.
Loosing my username and a new background is more change then I can cope with.

The Daily Grind: What do you think about experience scrolls?

Why bother putting levels in your game at all then?

Giving out xp scrolls/whateva' says that the content is tedious and a waste of time.

If they can really get the U.I to work on a 2010 level I'm definatly jumping into DFO.

APB: Reloaded's Rahul Sandil expands on development plans

Now if only they managed to sort out the latency issues APB would be a game.

The Daily Grind: What's your favorite starting zone?

Nov 17th 2010 9:01AM (Massively)
That is actually a very good question.

I really can't choose, it would either have to be the port/harbour in Anarchy Online or the dropship in Tabula Rasa.

For me entering the game has to make sense.
Just randomly spawning into the world is the easy solution.
If I can suspend disbelief I'm a happy camper.

I personally feel there should only be 1 start area.
It can evolve over time to freshen things up. Though I feel for now the actual potential of starting zones is not really being explored.

What if' the starter zone would be the character creation?
Appearance, class (if need be), faction (if need be) etc.
Telling people how to walk isn't perhaps the most interesting of activities.

Leave it up to corp's to suck everything dry.

We all knew this was coming and most people were begging for it.

In idiot terms: This is bad.

Its a classic con trick.

Its a shame that it still works.

Captain's Log: Nine months of Star Trek Online

Ow for Jebus's sake.

FFXIV launches and gets burned at the stake.

STO launched in a far worse state then FFXIV and its just mildly torched.

Liking a game for personal reasons is one thing, but if this is news reporting then I'm calling out a serious bias.
So I'm only left to conclude that this is not news reporting.
