Games Workshop... if you're using Google Alerts to monitor your reputation then you are absolutely stupid... why would you go after the community that loves you and promotes the heck out of you. This is coming from a marketing guy who has launched social media marketing campaigns.
Games Workshop you are a bunch of idiots. Without these fans your failing MMO would be nothing. You are sabotaging your efforts to expand your market reach beyond the tabletop.
Instead of attacking the community you should be embracing the community and allow for "Brand Hijacking" ... it's term where your fans run with your brand and make it their own. In the marketing world it's the holy grail of every marketing campaign as it goes viral. Now look you have 4 page of comments on this one blog who thing you're stupid.
Did you know the average lifetime network of someone is 250 people. That means the 1 person you piss off reaches up to 250 people. If you have 4 pages of blog comments thinking you're a bunch of morons then how many groups of 250 people do you think you're affecting?
.... I give Games Workshop a big bright red "F" for Fail in the social marketing world.
