The Daily Grind: What MMO have you recently deleted from your hard drive?

This it the thread where we check in to say we uninstalled SW:TOR?

Tera also... I'll give GW2 a shot I suppose.

Yes, less time stroking the ego in a circle jerk, more time fixing bugs and adding content...

Propaganda is old news and it is everywhere... regardless, as an admitted fanboi and huge Star Wars fan, two months of subbing was enough. I am brokenhearted, I even bought the CE, yet I wont lie to myself and say this game is worth sticking around for.

Have you seen the twitter feed?

Over and over explaining that you need to sub to get 30 days.

Those who insist this is new to mmo's please list your mmo's that allow you the 30 days without subscribing.

All the games I have experience with WoW, AoC, Rift, LoTRO all required a subscription before the free time was granted.

The mistake was catering to the lowest denomination for marketing and profit... you dredge the bottom you are going to get stuck with some lowbrows.

I love how all the logical common sense responses are down voted while the whining, subjective and generally clueless are up voted. Proof in the pudding.

@vampero

You ever been to a concert?... what was that thing... that line at the gate... oh yea! What you are waiting in line for to buy a ticket! Instead of doing it ahead of time and now you are surprised it takes time to complete the transactions?

Everyone might show up but that doesn't entitle everyone to get serviced at the immediate same time.

Welcome to the real world vampero.

The Daily Grind: Do you engage in forum PvP?

Sorry for the double post but I wanted to mention that at the TOR boards as we were discussing, that my best guess is that the company game plan for community management on the forums is based on the fact that Bioware anticipates bringing in a whole lot of "fresh gamer blood" with this title.

Perhaps casuals who are only familiar with consoles or browser games...

Whereas many seasoned and jaded gamers, especially in the PC realm can to be aggressive and elitist and knowing this Bioware has instructed the policy to be one where "everybody can be safe" on the forums, providing leeway for truly "new blood" as to not scare them off.

@Dunraven

I agree, the feeling at those boards is the same feeling I get when I go to Disney Land/World.

It's overly geared to cater to a politically correct point of view, where idiots are tolerated and anyone who happens to respond to them in a frank and honest manner are at risk of receiving infractions. As a result the forums are awash in stupid, redundant posts where critical thinking is not encouraged.
