DDO jumps to third-most-popular spot in MMO survey

Played WoW since it was made and left right before Icecrown citidel came out.. WoW is a great game of coarse. But for those of you that are just flat out burned out on it DDO is a great replacement. Completely different combat system than any other well known mmo out there so its fresh in that respect. The dungoens are well thought out and challenging. Can't just zerg a room with force around every corner no matter what gear you have without dying. Class roles are VERY apparent in groups when clearing content on hard or elite i.e: ranger/rogue's scouting ahead of the group is unique in that it's actually required for the harder content. However gear is still very important unless you like being 1 shot from a priest curse, actually be able to do dmg to a golem or vampire, ect.
WARNING: the first like 5 levels are annoying.. the quests you do in the first couple lvl's you will be doing alot of kobold killing and it might drive you a bit crazy. Imagine killing nothing but murlocs that actually move out of the way when you try to hit them till lvl 20 in wow. But once you start doing the house quests at around lvl 6 it gets better and better with every level. especially if you get the vip content. And if you like to solo things thats an option with the hireling system (sooo past due for an AI support role npc implementation to an mmo).
My best advice is to read the forums when creating a character since DDO is a pretty complex game as far as its character builds go assuming you didn't play dungeons and dragons board games or the baulders gate/icewind dale series on computer.
