This sounds awesome as hell... AT FIRST.. unfortunately I come from a forum that had a big industry forum, and contest posts started forming, they were really great at first, but soon exploited, not from the runners (well some of that too) but by the bots that were submitting and bumping the forum threads.....
because this is promoted as a collection system.. and not random.... and perhaps it dont even matter of that... watch the bots increase 500000%

ugh, this is Bioware, they don't make video games, they make interactive stories with as little gameplay as possbile to get it called a game.. hence dragon age snore bore story twist line where combat was just a trivial part of opening up the next chapter of twists..
utterly boring, so you quit squawking, bioware is going to choose the easiest route of combat one can choose (in this game rail shooter) and everything in that aspect, so they can focus on telling a story with change after chagne thinking oh thats cool.. with some fancy computer graphics and add in a bit of functionality... any real gamer has punted his system out the door and exited this realm years ago (im on my phone, in case your wondering)

I was one of those raving this was the stupidest game ever, then got into a good group with a few other regulars and have mad fun.. The only thing preventing this game from its optimal performance is the hackers.. I'd say over 60% of the population hacks and its not fun playing against these guys.. so when you get around to rank 60-100 its fun, once over that, you are fighting nothing but hacks. I guess a good thing is its so simple to tell a hack in this game.. he shooting your buddy who is north of him and your enemy, and the enemy kills him, does a instant 180 and 2 shots you from 200 meters... If RT does something about the hacks the game might prevail.... but it seems that the population is so hacky, that if RT does something about it.. the game might flop... so its looking its going to be like a hack fest.. as $ prevails
Obviously you've never dealt with the company. We ran with it for almost 2 years mostly idling because we had no choice but to idle due to all the problems. And they robbed us several times from billing problems to bs fee's, and when we complained and they in fact agree'd they were to blame on all the occassions, they would not fix, or compensate. They simply would say they cant do nothing, and would close the communication window, then play ignore games...Keeping our money, lieing, playing email tag of answer this question, wait a week, answer that question, wait a week.. Till you had no choice but to give up what you owned, so they could just resell it and laff in your face. The last straw was taking our land we payed massively for that was marketed as adult, and we paid high premium for it to be adult, and now no more adult.. here turn in your $1000 64km square x 100 for this .5 alternative in which we chose, and of course it wont be lakefront like you had.. While they resold our land for $840 confirmed on the AH, we monitored..
I imagine this goes on 500 times per day over there and they know it.. they look for any excuse possible to close that chat window of LIVE SUPPORT.
They frauded all their loyal long term clients with the Tier 5 Land scale to no longer allowing adult content, moving their land to cheap worthless spot, while taking the expensive land and reselling it for themselves. Their support has been the worst in the world, not industry. They basically throw you out like a dead lab rat if the slightest inconvenience occurs on their end.. I love hearing Second Life dieing, please post more great news like this.
There is little point to pay for SL membership, No support, your guarantee'd headaches in a very poorly managed company that gives no authority to their employees which causes even more headches with billing problems..
This will tri-fold into even more layoffs, as the support was horrible as it was and now that its worse.. Heh, say goodbye to your virtual world..
They thought the business world would clutch on and they could tick off their average user.. They analyzed wrong and I am laughing watching this company fall straight through the floor.

What I notice is nothing from RTW talks about how the game play is in any of their promo material. All everyone only talks about the customization, Take this with the only once a week 3 hour play sessions for beta players (WTF?!?) and if you ask me, they are hiding something. I have 7 friends in the beta, none of them are playing.. Hrmph, makes me wonder. Why would anyone blindly pre-order? Thats why they offer it.. to take your money before you get fooled.. I wont be fooled.. And anyone who says (it's only 50 bucks) Please be my friend, cuz i got tons of things to sell you
Industry is exploited to the max on pre-orders and collectors edition gimmicks, I haven't pre-ordered since Age of Conan, I learned my lesson there and how phoney all marketing deparments are and have become. The latest exploitation is getting into 'closed beta' when you pre-order. If they do this, its a sign to me the game is fail and has no playability or content to last more than a few hours.
As with is all games today, its a simple concept. Money. There are more non gamers who play games than true gamers, so games are not even games no more, they are interactive stories with very little control. The MMO's are cookie cutter crap put together by a freshman college group of scripters controlled by the idiot of all gamers (ARTISTS) who have no clue how to make a game.
