The point was to suggest that we stop crying about the various imbalances that exist in our games, and simply enjoy them for what they are. We can still strive to achieve the ideal, but must also remember that it is an ideal.

But what if they offered pre-leveled tier specific templates, and introduced another "entitlement" at the same time, allowing one to "turn off" xp gain?

Mythic already has a history of offering pre-leveled characters for UO.

Oh, don't be mistaken. SW:ToR absolutely will have an e-store. There's almost no doubt about it.

While I admit I haven't followed this game as fervently as others have, my only concern remaining for this game are the worlds themselves. Will they be truly epic and feel "connected" like the worlds of WoW or LotrO, or will they be claustrophobic strings of instanced cages with linear progression paths and maps that feel more like rail roads?

I can't speak for Gorfang, but I have had experience playing Destruction side on Badlands, and I can say with confidence that the activity there has not yet disappointed me.
