Massively's EVE Online CSM candidate roundup
May 12th 2010 2:25PM (Massively)When you could melt loot from L4s and end up with more minerals than you could by mining, the industry profession died. Along with it a majority of empire based industrial corps, after all, what's the use of a hulk when the roid pops in half a cycle? I speak in generality of course as some ridiculous people might still do this against all logical odds, it is not the norm.
I personally am waiting to seriously play this game again until that side of the game is fixed. Industrial/Mining corps were such fun for me. I loved mining, and I loved griefing miners. Nothing compared to a few hours of chatting with friends, grooving to tunes, and mining away, then suicide ganking the mining op right next to you.
I think you fuzzy empire bunnies are forgetting that you can be killed in empire too. It takes a little more creativity, but it's often many times more rewarding. Actually I've suicide podded players simply because they had an '03 born on stamp and had a "good feeling" about their implants.
But trust me when I say, I've suicided dozens of people and I prefer to get to know them now before I do it. It's so much more satisfying. The loot really doesn't matter to me. I play to win on the online game EVE masquerading as a teenage girl; "Ashley Sky" and my buddy is little "Wynona", we routinely obliterate "Care Bears".
It's amazing how people tend to trust teenage girls.
I'm actually a 49 year old dude! I think I should be a candidate.
