EVE's Sansha live event takes an interesting turn

Jun 29th 2010 10:48PM (Massively)
Well all haulers in the game getting sent to low sec in the game on autopilot is more important as it effects every single person in the game.

That doesnt make this any less interesting or epic as a happening or mean that players arent enjoying playing against a diffucult computer opponent.

This will help CCP learn how to run events better as well making all future ones better.

E3 2010: Interview with Warhammer 40K's Mark Downie

Was really excited for this and still am but three years is a hell of a long time to wait and I dont even know how interested Ill be in restarting a whole new MMO.

Im looking for a new main MMO now which is why I was hoping maybe summer 2011 with the actual gameplay footage being shown but three years is just to long to wait.

Captain's Log: Should Star Trek Online fans fear the competition?

The dev's have said the avatars will start out with mostly social and other misc. options such as those but they will expand use and gameplay once they see where they fit into EVE and how that will efect the other areas of the game.

EVE Evolved: First impressions of planet industry

You say you find the game itself amateurish and the things CCP intros into the game rubbish yet still say you hold a five year subscription.

Either you`re lieing to make your peice look more balanced(which its not) or you`re a huge hypocrite.

The Daily Grind: What do you hope to hear from E3?

Jun 14th 2010 8:45AM (Massively)
Id like to hear about Dust and the WOD MMO from CCP and perhaps get a general release date for both or at least one. With GW2 not going Id have to say my next most looked for thing is not so much MMO related in that I want a good look at project natal from Microsoft.

The Daily Grind: The consequence of PvP

May 30th 2010 10:53AM (Massively)
You do know that Eve has a 300k subscriber base on its own right and darkfall is somehwere around 50k I heard a respectable number in todays market with so many MMO's and F2P games.

Eve's PVP is just about right as you get the 1v1's and the groups going against each other in null security space but you still have spots for the PVE's in low security and high security space.

With loot drops but the pk'ed players still respawning the PVP system would be just about perfect IMO if they took away insurance payments to gankers who get blown up by the games concord security after they kill players in high security space and steal their stuff.

The Daily Grind: How would you make a D&D MMO?

May 26th 2010 8:41AM (Massively)
A MMORPG like this in the Forgotten realms setting would be it for me with all the characters and kingdoms from the books.

Have the races and faction you choose really effect gameplay and take it back to the UO system of skill points and it would be one of the bigger titles ever.

Also doing away with instances alot and making it so you can really interact and change the MMO world would make it a much more enganging expeirence.

So pretty much what I want is a mix of gameplay from UO,Everquest and Eve all mixed in the Forgotten realms setting.

Just a pipe dream :)

Sony Online Entertainment introduces $25 mount [Updated]

May 20th 2010 6:18PM (Massively)
So $15 a month plus the retail cost of a game and expansion isnt enough to keep a virtual world going.

I call BS on this as if you have any decent amount of Sub`s then you`ll be making a healthy profit by itself and any game that doesnt shouldnt have a cash shop anyway as the dev`s should be uysing their time to fix the original not give us more overpriced crap.

Things in the cash shop are going to start giving heatlthy benefits to whoever buys them and it wont be a lvl playing field anymore but just a big grind with who can afford to waste the most money on their gear.

If you want to play a game like that more power to you but I draw the line at someone gouging me which is pretty much what these companies are doing.

The Daily Grind: Are you ready for Blizzcon?

May 19th 2010 2:10PM (Massively)
They are currently making 150,000,000 a month and thats just off their subscription fees from WoW.

They could let people in for free and still come out way ahead in the black at the end of the year.

Now I didnt say anything all about letting them in for free but just to charge a small fee for whats esentially a buisness seminiar with some extras added in.

Said all that with a straight face too.

The Daily Grind: Are you ready for Blizzcon?

Satn has it right IMO as theres nothing wrong with being a fan and supporting a game or publisher you like but the $150 price tag is to steep when theyre also charging for everything else there except the free giveaway bag.

If this was a $50 ticket and a $10 stream they would get alot more customers.

They`ll still sell out the convention center because it`s WoW but just because someone makes a good game doesnt give them the right to rip off they`re fans.
