Wasn't Runes of Magic going to do something similar but full-time?

@Softserve It's pretty organised, with actual companies created just for this. I saw this video a while back on the subject: /watch?v=PWvHcoqru7I

World of Tanks progression detailed in third video tutorial

@Pingles Uh no, clans don't have the ability to battle for territories. I've been playing the game since july and I like it, but let's not get ahead of ourselves here. They had planned to test the clan wars during open beta but things don't always go as planned and they postponed release by about a month and clan wars testing two months after release. Also over a month ago they said clans can begin to register but apart from the forum announcement, nothing happened since.
And the additional part that clan wars adds is the map viewable through the browser to know what clan has what province - a glorified scoreboard.
However, if anyone really wants to test clan wars it is available in Russia. The rest of the world has to wait a bit.

Aika Online opens its doors to Europe

Feb 17th 2011 11:57AM (Massively)
America being the new world in the euro-centric view. Like the middle east and far east, cause they're to the east of Europe.
Anyway, I had an account before the IP-ban but my guild went from 60 or more ppl to maybe one or two online during the whole day. Pretty much everyone I knew started leaving the game so I abandoned it also. And now it "opens it's doors to europe". The gpotato way of running an mmo.

The "big bet": EA aims at a half-million subscribers to make SWTOR profitable

@Rooher I doubt they're concerned with Forsaken World too much and even more so with Earthrise.
In terms of expectations, they're the biggest mmo coming, so the other ones should be more concerned with SWTOR.

Aika Online invades Europe on February 17th

Yea, last year they allowed everyone to play, then for a few weeks they kept us in limbo now knowing if we were going to get IP-banned, and then they eventually did implement a ban on all new accounts being created from outside NA. That's because Gpotato only bought the rights for NA, and the company who made the game had a global version on the way to cater to the rest of the world. And now they expand to EU? Doubt I'll trust them again.

@Nickelpat Yea, but massively had an article some months ago that dealt with this thing, what does the massively stand for in MMO and what does it take for a game to be a massive online game. Basically they don't know and they'll call any multyplayer game an mmo if the producers say it is.

iPhone app developer says MMOs will be abandoned

@Tempes Magus I kind of agree about the direction where games seem to be heading in. There seems to be less and less differences we can notice between some instanced mmos and "regular" games with multiplayer. Or as another example TDU2. You have a game similar to NFS online only the islands are huge and you can do several other things like get out of the car and pimp your avatar, play poker, buy houses etc in an mmo-type world. But you can also play and experience the career entirely in the single player. So the future of games will be a synergy of different elements from many genres of games.
As for this guy, he's just smoking his own belly button lint.

World of Tanks closed beta registrations hit the one million mark

LOL! The game is already released in russia, ppl are paying paying for it and there are a hell of a lot more than 5k players. And that's just in russia. Believe it or not some ppl like military themed games not just elves and orcs fantasies. If you enjoy something enough that you feel it's worth paying for doesnt make you an idiot. Also it's not meant to be a historical simulation. Not that there are many out there, and especially free like you dream of.
