Silkroad-R adding new server, gearing up for re-launch

@smartstep Heh. This game never stopped being insanely popular. They have a more constant and stable population than the majority of quality P2P MMOs. It's far from being dead.

Silkroad-R adding new server, gearing up for re-launch

@CaptainZoidberg Same here, it was my first MMO back in the days. I loved grinding and doing jobs. It still has one of the best PvP system concepts, just too bad bots and server queues ruined it.

I'm trying out this new game and not much has changed. I wouldn't call it a rebirth, more of a number tweak you'd see on private servers. Levels 1-70 have no gold drops and you get full SoS equipment from npcs together with double XP. SP grind has also been reduced.

It's fun to play for a while if you loved the original, but investing serious time in this game is pointless. It's already swarmed with bots. You can see someone humping a wall in every grind area.

@arodriguezc They are not charging for it. It's not an adventure pack, just old promised content that never got released.

Turan doesn't offer much content compared to RotGS, I agree, but that's also why it's very cheap. The art is fantastic and the new dreamworld engine shines in it. A much needed mid-leveling area was added to break the Cimmerian boredom, an awesome raid to shorten the wait for the rest of the T4 bosses and close the gear gap, and on top of that an excellent (and award-winning) soundtrack are definitely worth the 15$ they ask for it. The economy is not that bad so you can't afford that, they deserve it for their work. Sounds like you just gave up on the game altogether due to other reasons.

Indeed. This looks like a past generation MMO in every aspect. Not sure what they're trying to achieve. I have a feeling it will bomb like Warhammer did.

Final Fantasy XIV players get another free month of playtime

While I do agree somewhat, I must say that this game is fantastic.

There's still no end in sight after 2 months of hardcore playing @_@

I have been spiritually reborn as a hard-working individual since everything takes so long to achieve. It requires an extraordinary amount of patience and determination. As a result I've gotten used to harsh work environments where praise and reward is minimal. Thank you FFXIV for making me a better and stronger human being.

So, why was that comment by shadowcat thumbed down? Because he's telling the truth and you were too lazy and unwilling to actually read anything inside the game?

Blind hate and ignorance all the way. I bet you're all well happy when you "figure" the game out in 2 days, get to level cap in 8 days and then hit a brick wall since there's nothing to do endgame.

This game lets you explore and figuring out the mechanics keeps you busy and entertained a long time. If you want instant gratification, like most of you seem to do, it won't appeal to you at all.

Why don't you guys like my favorite game, why?

T.T so sad

I'll go unsubscribe right now since y'all say so.

Sean,

It won't "improve". They made it clear already. The fundamental things about the game will stay as they are, they'll just add tweaks to make it more user-friendly and streamlined. If you don't like what the game has to offer right now, you probably never will.

Just find some friends who are actually enjoying their time. The community is very nice in this game. Playing it solo would make even me quit after a week.

ROFL. Sorry what?

I regularly have 3-5 conjs in my party and they all get solid SP. Learn to play perhaps instead of just healbotting?

100k for an item repair? Ever thought of leveling the craft, asking friends to do it or going to a crafting guild and asking someone there? That won't even cost you 5k.

Final Fantasy XIV grants players a month of freedom and revamped markets

Oh boy. This game sure is dominating me, making me grit my teeth and cry. For YOU it might be masochistic to play it, due to your own complexes or taste, but there's plenty of us (full servers actually) who can't wait to come home to get back to playing :]
