New RIFT video is dressing up for Halloween
Oct 28th 2011 12:27PM (Massively)Yes they meant the free trial. -.- I am not sure why Trion decided to just say play for free, they should have it say "Try for free" or "Play the free trial".
Anyway, awesome video. Trion does have a great sense of humor which is one of the many things I like about them. I am glad they choose to do stuff like this, most companies don't put out videos like these.
Layoffs hit NCsoft's North American offices
Oct 27th 2011 4:39PM (Massively)Thank you both for the info. I will have to look that up and see what that game is about.
@Ehra
Thank you very much for taking the time to post this, I would have checked myself when I got off work but this saved me the time. I am glad that Paragon is doing ok, I may no longer play CoH/V but I still like the company and the game.
Layoffs hit NCsoft's North American offices
Oct 27th 2011 1:14PM (Massively)I was just thinking about that after I posted my comment. It seems weird that not long after the Garriot settlement that NCSoft is "restructuring" their staff.
And as usual the hard workers get the shaft while the CEO's get to keep their big fat checks. ;(
Layoffs hit NCsoft's North American offices
Oct 27th 2011 1:11PM (Massively)I have never heard of Carbine Studios until now. But still I hope they will be ok and the layoffs will not effect them too much.
I always hate hearing news like this. :(
Digimon Masters launching October 25th
Oct 20th 2011 4:06PM (Massively)I loved the first and second seasons of Digimon, 1-3 and maybe 4 for Pokemon, and after seeing that Joymax will be staying true I will be trying this out. I hope this game does well and not fall flat on its face and die out.

Sep 30th 2011 5:04PM (Massively)Even though this is off topic I just wanted to say that at least Turbine has always been updating Lotro with the latest DX version. When DX 10 came out Turbine released a DX 10 update to the game very quick. So kudos to them for that. :-)
The Road to Mordor: A week in Dunland
Sep 30th 2011 4:57PM (Massively)I waited until after I got home from work on Tuesday to update the game and play, glad I did as the update only took about 15-20 minutes. I did not do much though since I had to log off early due to have some issues with my new pain meds. I plan to not level up fast and take my time since I learned from back when Moria was released, I was trying to hurry up and level high enough to do the quests in the new zones that Mines of Moria added. I missed out on a lot and even now I am going back and doing stuff such as the Book 1 quests.
A friend of mine is good for leveling fast, as of Wednesday he was 71 so he will be max level by the end of this weekend.
Overall I am happy with this update, I know other people have complained that this is not an "expansion" and more of an update but I am usually not picky when it comes to expansions and updates. The one thing that stood out as soon as I was in the new area was the sky and the terrain. The sky in lotro has always been something I liked and the way the sky looked at night when I first entered into the new zone I was in awe, I took a few screenshots and have it as my background both at home and work. The terrain from what I could tell at night looks much better, it sems to have better texture details, I will have to try it out in DX11 and see if that makes it better.
One Shots: High above me
Sep 22nd 2011 4:58PM (Massively)Great screenshot and yes I know how it is with the UI. I switch between two MMO's and I always get the "hide UI key" mixed up. :-)
