I am really interested in this too, which if my recent history of getting excited about games is a pattern, this game will be horrible. I sure hope not, huge potential here.
Tabula Rasa for me. I bought it the day it launched and had a ton of problems getting it to run on my old PC, could never really get it to run correctly and never bothered to give it a go when I updated my PC. I think that setting has huge potential as an MMO.
2003 Pre CU SWG for me, I remember I just started walking around outside the little town I started in in the south of Corellia, not knowing anything about anything I started to walk (and eventually swim) all the way to coronet) Once I got there I was thrust into a world of everyone RPing and I was hooked.
Sounds pretty awesome to me. I thought the zombie thing was fun for a while too, but it did get old pretty quick. So as long as big red isn't corpse camping everyone for five days it should be pretty cool.
I have become this way mostly because of the atrocious behavior I have been subjected to in a lot of pick up group type situations. "the game that shall not be named" is probably the worst I have ever seen in this regard.
I'm pretty sure its because i'm in my 30s and don't care to deal with 19 year olds ankle biting over who's spec/gear/skillz/penis are better. It may also be that I have a family and a job and I can't commit to a video game in any reliable fashion to take part in scheduled raiding. It has really held me back in most MMOs.
I still enjoy being around others when I play, but I also don't appreciate being forced to rely on them to advance
