I played through most of the beta invites and nothing in Rifts was really better than what I had or could be doing in WoW so I didn't follow it through.

A good thing is that competition will improve the market. I believe that threats like Trion will push Blizzard to add new stuff; even now - remote guild chat, offline AH access, new encounter mechanisms (have you seen the Firelands stuff so far?), these things make busy RL peeps enjoy the game even more. For me the consumer, its only win-win.

For those that like Rift - stay there. Make Blizz pay !!

I am waiting for a real threat from the Sci-fi side - I have a soft spot for WAR40k.

SoC definitely needed a nerf...on ICC trash before Sindy, I could pull 50k+ dps on those packs. It did more than Hellfire as demo. We'll see this week how it fairs post nerf.

With shatter being a 90% drop in threat, AoE'n is far more fun; any lock can take more risks....

Also, don't forget Shadowflame...nice upfront damage that can crit and adds a dot. Also when glyphed, it keeps the adds nice and close.

I agree with the building up or "unlocking" aspect for better classes...if you don't have to work towards something better, why play? It's designed to be an MMO not a first person shooter where you just get skills and gear.

From the many books I've read, at different points in times, the Legions or Chapters recruited or built from many different ages; from children through adults. Saying one or the other is the only way isn't correct.

I think for this MMO to succeed, it needs to nail down a few things;

Keep a sense of advancement in the game
Keep the MMO aspect alive (both as parties and massive battles)
Keep a good central story.

Many people will be coming from the table top version and will demand a story. Many people will be coming from WoW and similar games and want the advancement and "raid" aspects.

I played Asheron's call for a long time; and thestory kept me there. I switched to WoW and the 5 man and raids kept me there.

I'm ready for the future...bring on 40k

and always CoE over CoA unless another class or lock has the debuff covered. 13% is bigger than coA. Other things have been listed.
Lastly, what would you drop to get Intensity or Destructive Reach?...don't confuse peeps with weaker options.

wowhead says 32% drop rate...we get that stupid longbow everytime.

count 3 seconds and seed of corruption...non-stop.
shatter if you have to but you should pwn the meters.
