@Brendan Drain Urgh - My bad on the Punisher, for some reason I saw t1 railguns :/
When I'm back from work I'll have a look through my fittings though and see what can be adapted quickly for newbies. I remember making a few fits for indy characters that wanted to move accross to pvp a while ago, see if I still have them floating around...
UI is going through overhauls at the moment, probably December before the next major update on the UI though, but the carbon framework is in place so it's easier for CCP to actually update it now.
You're taking a Slasher over a Vigil for fast minmatar t1 tackle? Vigil is the fastest t1 frigate in the game, is easy to get into and fit and very hard to hit.
Not really sure about taht Rifter fit either, get a DC, SAR and 200 plate in the lows instead of speed mods, it's not meant to be an amazingly fast ship, it's a slightly more durable DPS frigate. ACs can't track as well as blasters.
As for the Punisher(My favourite frigate), use Autocannons in the highs, blasters take up cap which is better used elsewhere, ACs have better all around use than rails, and are easier to fit.
I don't think that's true. Pandemic Legion proved that with the 10 thorax fleet they used a couple of tournaments ago. That might've been a 1 off occurrence but I think there's definately room for some cheaper, well organised fleets to show that t2 imbafits aren't always the way to go :)
Suppose I can't really compete with people who only see what they want to, that's the problem with alot of gamers, they're usually blind to how the industry works, and think that development is a cakewalk, and that games are made in "fun" environments.
Yes Wulf, you're correct, because I actually bothered to reply to an article for once I must be an activision rep trying to gain some sort of rep back! That's it! Well done Columbo!
Just one more thing, not everyone that is annoyed at seeing a constant stream of speculation, makes and account then posts about it is from the company that wants "Damage Control". I just want to read a decent article that takes into account more than "omg they fired him after he made loads for them" and "omg they're with-holding bonuses", when there's very little evidence to state that bonuses are being withheld except for their "informer" who is reporting on it like it's fact, when it's not hard to find out that Activision pay out all bonuses at the end of the quarter.
So by waiting to see the reason, i'm jumping to a conclusion? I'm just taking note of standard business ethics and applying them to the heads of IW. Also i'm not saying it's fact, i'm saying it's my opinion.
Well done atron, you've read one part of my comment and answered that, and completely ignored the rest of it because it doesn't fit with what you want to hear. Nice one.
So you're basically claiming not to buy any Activision product because you're "a romantic" and don't want the execs at Activision to get any of your money, and all in support of developers such as Infinity Ward... When what you're actually doing is denying the developers such as Infinity Ward your money in protest at a company that won't be effected as much by your lack of contribution. The few dollars that Infinity Ward gets will seem alot bigger to them than say, the few dollars Activision gets will seem to Activision... So you're also hitting the pockets of the people who are working hard to make the game...
Short version, Stop being a hypocrite and buy a game you enjoy, because you enjoy it. If you actually wanted to support IW, you'd just buy their game, that's how most people support something. What you're doing is as stupid as the protest against the new Sonic game, by buying an old Sonic game.
Quick! Everyone on the jump to conclusions train! Maybe if they wait until Activision normally pays every company's bonuses, ie. End of the tax quarter(That's the start of April folks), then we might get some proper news, instead of all this "activision is run by the devil, and IW are innocent victims" crap.
I'm pretty sure the heads of IW got fired for a good reason, and until that reason is public knowledge, people need to stop rumormonging...
And bonuses will be getting paid once the Activision's financials have been dealt with and calculated fully.
Seriously, get off the band wagon and actually use some common sense, they aren't the devils, they're a business, they're acting like a business, and they will continue to act like a business. If you ran a company that makes the best game ever, and then you breach your contract and do something bad enough to get fired, then chances are you deserved it. And chances are you'll still get that nice bonus, but don't expect to work for them again. The IW execs screwed up, Activision saw it as a massive breach of contract, and treated them like they breached their contract, and fired them. I'd expect to get fired for breaching my contract, position and what you've done beforehand is not a factor.
Not buying any product by them ever again is a stupid idea, and unless you convince millions instead of the few hundred that are "boycotting" then it's not going to make a slight bit of difference.
