What an interesting thing to do. Take a widely spread feature which for all i know has never been charged for on any game i played. The famous "eye on community, dev diary, insider... or whatever you call it" Add some virtual goods that wont cost a dime to the editor to create an exciting package you are actually not ashamed to advertise for.
Goal achieved, by assembling them, you created a marketable product out of two items you provided for free.
"1 "Bioware is catering to everyone and in doing so they end up making a great game to nobody." - DinesanDK"
As Long as those hard working fellows at Bioware keep this in mind, i will be happy. The desire to satisfy the largest amount of player is what makes me feel that all the lattest "high budget, highly anticipated" mmo where cook and boiled in the same pot with only the seasoning changing (when it changed...). Of course I have high expectation from bioware regarding gameplay, imersion and originality. But what i really ask SWTOR is to have a personality on its own. Trying to please everyone is certainly the best way to please no one.
