Not 3 million. They lost 1.1 million subscribers. They still have 10,000,000 subs which is millions more than the second most popular subscription based MMO.
They never ran a smear campaign. Infact the president of Blizzard was quoted as saying something along the lines of they welcome a new player into the AAA MMO field and hope it introduces more customers to MMOs. They were never competitive with Bioware.

There are ups and downs to everything. Including business. Resources are limited no matter how much money a company may have. I am sorry that you feel they aren't giving something you like the treatment it deserves but that doesn't mean an entire company is an evil corporation out to take over the world.
Black and white thinking is unhealthy, not productive, and ruining the gaming community as a whole. I understand you are upset but there are other things the company is doing right in place of it's faults. No company or person is perfect including my self, you, EA, Mythic, or Bioware.
If you don't like the tie in games than don't play them. Then your precious source material won't be ruined, the published will make more money off of its sales and spend it on the next flagship installment.
