Mar 8th 2012 3:45PM (Massively)For all intents and purposes, we've had to pay for some costumes since the release of the CoH DVD collectors edition.
And also remember, a LOT of costumes were only available if you purchased CoV.
...and the Collectors Edition of CoV too.
....and the Wedding Pack....
....and Good vs Evil......
So, the precedent has been around since late 2004 that certain items (costumes, badges, and temp powers) were available for a cost above and beyond the sub fee.
A Mild-Mannered Reporter: That's really super, Super Pack
Mar 8th 2012 9:04AM (Massively)I have 2 accounts, and bought a 24 pack for each and managed to snag the entire costume bundle on both, over 1000 Merits, 13/17 Archetype Enhancements, and dozens of other items that I varying degrees of use for (Dual/Team Inspirations, Enhancement Unslotters, XP Boosters, Windfalls, etc.).
Looking at the prices of Enhancements and Costume Bundles, it's almost a break even proposition; the Merits and the other consumables are just bonuses.
So, if a company is going to do this kind of thing, it seems like Paragon is doing it in a way that makes it far more palatable.

I'm stunned.
