This device just isn't powerful enough to run an MMO that I would want to be playing. I can honestly say I have never once thought about playing one on a mobile device. Too many mouse movements and buttons needed unless it was a very basic game inside the MMO.
I am a fan of boss mobs having the chance to drop gear better than can be purchased using a token type system while also enjoying the ability to get decent gear from participating in raids etc and gettign something in return. There are times when you will never get a drop you might want from luck of the draw but it is nice to have a system in place where you can feel useful helping your guild or groups over time and actualyl have somethign to show for it instead of just bad luck or bad /random rolls.
I am looking forward to MMOs on 360/PS3. I would love to sever the ties to my PC to play MMOs since all my other gaming happens on the console. There are the issues of controls with lack of buttons on a console controller vs a pc keyboard but I would be more than happy to use a mouse/kb combo on my console if it meant I could play an MMO. All current gen systems can support a mouse/kb. There is also the issue of fees with 360 for example MS already charging people for XBlive.
I am looking forward to battlegrounds in EQ2. Was never a fan of the specific PvP server life in EQ2 but always enjoyed my time in WoW in bgs. This will just add even more for me to have fun doing in EQ2.
The way I understand it, the battlegrounds will be available to players on both PvE and PvP servers. The first paragraph of the article might lead someone to believe it is only for those playing on PvP server.
I still thoroughly enjoy EQ2. I always seem to have something to do, the world is massive and the World Events and numerous guide quests are fun to do as well. Having played WoW for years in the past, I think battlegrounds in EQ2 will be a nice change of pace and give me even more to do with my in game time.
