Humanimals. A reskin that people freak out over.

That's awesome. I actually was lucky enough to meet Matthew Moore at CES when he was demoing GW2, so I'm reading the interview in his voice like a good little creeper. > >

Edge of Destiny, pleazies.

The Daily Grind: When have reused graphics bothered you?

I think the re-using of armor speaks about the absence of an adequate dye system more than the implementation of recycling.

I really love the fact that this content exists in general. When I read Ghosts of Ascalon, the marriage had taken place ages ago, but it held nominal importance with the current storyline because, well, it wasn't embellished.

Here, we finally get to flesh out more of the compelling story. While GW:P's overall story is not particularly deep, the sequence that is the struggle of Gwen, and arguably all of Ascalon, remains a strong and tragic focal point. I thought they were going to jump straight to Cantha, but I now realize how well-thought out this transition is in the scope of all of GW: B.

I'm just looking forward to any seriousness that'll come from all of this. Moreover, I'm curious to how they'll play out Gwen in the face of a Charr warband at their wedding part, because you know it's gonna' happen.

The Daily Grind: Do you have essential peripherals?

Oct 2nd 2010 3:06PM (Massively)
G500 + keyboard is sufficient.

Binding control, shift and alt to your side buttons is sufficient to handle most combat bars with 1-5, 9-0 are bound to my horizontal scroll.

The mouse is a bit heavy and and is fairly mediocre for FPSes due to a non-central sensor, but it is strong for general use overall in most games. Very solid mouse that gets a lot of mileage all around.

Permadeath considered for World of Darkness MMO

Honestly, I think perma-death would find a fine implementation when you break the Masquerade. It's the one sin that keeps the setting relatively civil.

The Daily Grind: Which MMO has the best PvP?

Sep 20th 2010 7:39PM (Massively)
Honestly, depends on what you like. I can't really choose between GW and Eve just like I cannot choose between Starcraft and Civ.

Guild Wars is the best E-sport-style PvP RPG out there. It's very clean, organized and well-established proving ground for strategy and tactical execution. The gear barrier is small and despite elitism, the distinction between good and bad players, builds or strategies is generally presented very clearly.

Eve has the greatest risk-reward scale that keeps PvP central to the experience. Most PvP is just conflict for the sake of patching up the inadequacies of PvE. Eve's PvP is basically a core component of the game itself and really serves to emphasize freedom while balancing out unrealistic aggressiveness by keeping players well aware of what they have to lose.
