Seriously, it's no joke. Many asian to north american conversions take years before they hit our shores. There is a definite chance that when the game launches in NA it will indeed be horribly outdated and pointless.
The scene has changed a lot in the last couple of years. "Beta" doesn't hold the same sway it used to. Now, instead of being a testing phase, like it's supposed to, it's more of an early access state. This is especially true in the world of F2P. I mean, look at the article. There was a cash shop.... In beta!
Maybe where you live, walmart and best buy have full isles for PC games but where I live it's exactly the same as you described for gamestop. A few games tucked away in the corner.
Stop being a charlie brown and pick a side? Really?
If you are asking what the personal preference is, that's one thing, and that's fine. Asking which is better for the group, however, is similar to asking which is better for the body, lungs or heart? They are both major organs that are required in some shape or form to keep a person alive. The party needs both. Without one, the party won't last long.
As far as personal preference goes, Tank all the way. *holds shield up to the sky*
I see your point, I really do. Maybe it's just because I'm a cynical person, but their response of "next time we will take more time to explain ourselves" basically translates to, "It's too bad you're all too stupid to understand what we were trying to do here. Next time we'll use smaller words."
That's just the way I see it and I understand that I am probably taking too much from it all, but i'll take silence over condescension any day.
The indie movie Ben X centers around a major plot point involving the free-to-play MMO Archlord. The main character is taunted and bullied for having serious issues with autism, and often uses the game as an escape from his reality.
About a year ago I was talking to the staff member that was handling one shots at the time and she told me that at most they would get one or two screen shots in their mail box at any given time, and many times they didn't even get a single one.
I doubt that the popularity of a column that was already a few years old to begin with would rise much in the time that has passed. This is just a guess but I figure it has less to do with click-through and more to do with overall user participation.
For what it's worth, I feel for the devs of this game. They were given a ridiculously small amount of both money and time and told, "Make a great game." That's just not the way it works.
