@Beau Hindman K im gonna give u a real example from ingame abt how it does matter. A group of ppl(Mercenaries guild) on the Nezeb server who spend literally 1000's of $ in the game dominated the whole PvP area(melting isle). U can imagine that a single guild controlling a whole area wiping out anyone that doesnt bow b4 them and on top of all this their raid would get 95% of the drops in the area simply because no one else had the power or the $ to counter them. So theres ur example abt how these things affect the game and how some ppl are spending 1000's of $ to have complete control.
True, Allods is a beautiful game and the lower lvls are as f2p as they can be but at endgame raids you need to have high runes(cash shop item). Also the rune lvl is practically capless since lvl13 runes cost abt $20000 so u arent going to survive endgame pvp against paying customers. Other than that the game is f2p. U can reach till endgame completely free.
Hmm... Allods Online has a cash shop item sale(strongboxes) many times a month and some of the drops from these items are announced. Judging by the amount of announcement, they're making an ef ton more money than a $15 sub per person. Too bad the population is too low because of it.
@Anique I say that get the charms and incense back in the item shop and remove the 'real' p2w CS item (runes/crystal chips). lvl13 cost around $20000 . Yea thats right. And some players are walking around in lvl10's and lvl11's completely throwing the pvp balance out. In fact, the pvp area endgame (Melting Isle) is dominated by a single guild which recruits ppl with high rune lvl(Nezeb/League). The other guilds dont even bother cause u cant face a whole raid of p2w ppl. Im on semi quit mode myself until they fix this horible system. Sad to see cause the game had a lot of potential. They couldve even overtaken WoW's position, had the cash shop been done right. The result is apparent from he comments here. Lack of trust from the users. They offer us milk and then throw it on the ground and ask us to lick it. No thx. I dont even know whats the game's future anymore. With so much good upcoming f2p mmo's like c9,APB reloaded, Prius, and Age of Wulin. Allods has lost its best chance to take the top spot in f2p.
