I see what you did there.

The Road to Mordor: What if?

Mar 12th 2011 4:48PM (Massively)
Biggest "What if": Turbine really built out PvMP and enabled us to level up Monster races (Orc, Uruk, Spider, Warg - & added Goblins while they were at it!) from starter zones @ Level 1 on up. Imagine fighting in Moria on a PvP server!

My money is on "Gambling" as a new hobby (horse racing, dice throws, cards, et al) especially with microtransactions coming...

The elves garden has been invaded by shrews and you need to get special stomping boots to eradicate them. The description of the boots are as follows:

MMO Family: Virtual worlds for kids

You can add SmallWorlds.com to this list. Flash-based free to play world with microtransactions that leverages the social graph (e.g. Facebook, and OpenSocial compatible sites).

SmallWorlds has been given stellar reviews and recently won the Adobe MAX 2009 award for Social Computing.

(full disclosure: I helped build out their distribution architecture in year One)
