Breakfast Topic: Playing at work

Dec 17th 2008 8:27AM (WoW)
I used to work afternoon shift, where my job was to monitor data transmissions. Everyone else was gone from the office by 6, and I had to be there until 11.

I would take my laptop to work, and regularly logged 4 hours a night at work. I was kind of sad to get the transfer to day shift.

The Daily Grind: How important are friends to MMO gaming?

Nov 19th 2008 9:11AM (Massively)
I completely packed up and dropped everything to move servers to play with some old co-workers. When that guild fell apart, I decided to stay on that server because I had made other friends by then.

Breakfast Topic: What did you level first?

Nov 16th 2008 9:51AM (WoW)
I took my main (lvl 59 BE) for a zep ride and brought her back to the Undercity. I then rolled a DK and my DK is fast becoming my new favorite.

Now with two somewhat high lvl toons, I can switch back and forth and really make use of rested XP.

Countdown to Wrath Giveaway: Day 0 - Wrath Collector's Edition boxes

Nov 13th 2008 7:31AM (WoW)
I still think it's craptastic that they sold out within 48 hours. That really doesn't give everyone that wanted to order a copy a chance.

Breakfast Topic: What would you do for a Beta Invite?

Jul 20th 2008 10:27AM (WoW)
I've got twins, I'd name one for WoW for a beta invite. And name both for a lifetime account to all current content & any future expansions.

WoW + Vista = ????

Apr 2nd 2008 10:01PM (WoW)
When I went from XP Home to Vista Ultimate, I upgraded from 1 gig of ram to 3 gigs, and from a 4200 RPM HD to a 5400 RPM HD.

Overall Vista seems faster, but my framerates have dropped over 50%. WoW is now almost unplayable with the graphic settings turned all the way down, where it was awesome with the graphic settings turned all the way up in XP.

How to make friends (and influence orcs)

Sep 21st 2006 2:31PM (WoW)
I just started playing WoW about a month ago. I perfer to solo. It allows me to explore and roam around. I've got afew guys I hung around with when we all started. But after we left the start area, we all sort of went our own ways.

But back to soloing. I perfer to solo because I don't have to share the XP, GP, or loot. Sure it takes me longer and I can't go after mobs that are more than a level or two above me. But I enjoy it.

Also, I play on a PVP server. It feels like the loot is better and allows me to progress easier as a solo.
