The Daily Grind: Does Origin's new EULA make you feel better about playing an EA game?
Aug 28th 2011 4:39PM (Massively)I started to hate EA when they dissolved Westwood Studios. When they bought them, I figured "sweet, more support for WS!" How wrong I was. And it did not end there, oh no.
I would trust Sony more with my information (even with the hacking drama) more over EA. Its that much I dislike EA. But then I have to compromise, as a gamer to play great games like BF BC2, Mass Effect series.
When EA's first digital subscribing service launched (EA downloader or something), I wasn't concerned at all, especially when EA games are in other digital services. Big flaw for this one, you have like 1 year limit for "unlimited" downloads.
Now the successor, Origin, that's where I start to be concerned. I rather have EA to stay away from digital. Any other companies going digital, fine, but not EA. I would compromise and spend money into D2D, Steam, and other digital service to buy EA because they get some cut of my hard earned cash to support them.
But buying games for EA through origin? Anyone with the right mind, they wouldn't buy squat to put all their hard earned cash to Origin, which they have full funds because that is supporting EA to the MAX. Better off buying EA products somewhere else. If its exclusive to Origin, meh, don't buy it then. Maybe, just maybe once the EA corps got their fat hands on some money, they release the "exclusive" game for other digital service to get their fat hands on more more.

Dec 7th 2009 10:16PM (Massively)I plan on buying collector's edition. I checked steam and don't see any star trek online game ATM, but I am considering on getting retail through gamestop ...
I am hoping if I can use the serial key from retail to be added into steam, anyone can confirm this for me please? I would hope so, wouldn't like to see "Playing Star trek non-steam game" lol.
