The Daily Grind: Does Origin's new EULA make you feel better about playing an EA game?

Aug 28th 2011 4:39PM (Massively)
Meh. I don't give a crap TBH. EA is EA. Not terrible, not bad, its terribad. Not sure why companies are being bought into EA, that they should well know they will brake apart later. Then spewing out games just for $$$ and not caring for quality.

I started to hate EA when they dissolved Westwood Studios. When they bought them, I figured "sweet, more support for WS!" How wrong I was. And it did not end there, oh no.

I would trust Sony more with my information (even with the hacking drama) more over EA. Its that much I dislike EA. But then I have to compromise, as a gamer to play great games like BF BC2, Mass Effect series.

When EA's first digital subscribing service launched (EA downloader or something), I wasn't concerned at all, especially when EA games are in other digital services. Big flaw for this one, you have like 1 year limit for "unlimited" downloads.

Now the successor, Origin, that's where I start to be concerned. I rather have EA to stay away from digital. Any other companies going digital, fine, but not EA. I would compromise and spend money into D2D, Steam, and other digital service to buy EA because they get some cut of my hard earned cash to support them.

But buying games for EA through origin? Anyone with the right mind, they wouldn't buy squat to put all their hard earned cash to Origin, which they have full funds because that is supporting EA to the MAX. Better off buying EA products somewhere else. If its exclusive to Origin, meh, don't buy it then. Maybe, just maybe once the EA corps got their fat hands on some money, they release the "exclusive" game for other digital service to get their fat hands on more more.

The Daily Grind: What was your worst death ever?

Sep 18th 2010 4:18PM (Massively)
Worst death in a MMO? well, I think losing two weeks of battlecruiser V skill points hurts. And that's it. Though there were few occassions that I almost lost my pod without upgraded few times which gave me some good amount of adrenline rush.

What? Free? It must be a scam coming from Cryptic since they have the reputation of money hogging. Might as well make Klingons and Ferengi free as well in STO, otherwise it doesn't make sense.

Well, its Cryptic, they're known for having cash shops in their damn games which I hate generally hate Cryptic, so it shouldn't be surprising STO will have it as well... (but I am against cash shops). I like Star Trek, and I just hope STO won't be a big disappointment or Cryptic is in a whole lot of trouble.

Star Trek Online offers advanced retail programs

Ugh, decisions, decisions. I'm trusting Cryptic on this one because I am going to buy the collector edition. If they messed up the game, they're are through with me. No more chances. I am willing to take a short break from eve-online to try this game.

I plan on buying collector's edition. I checked steam and don't see any star trek online game ATM, but I am considering on getting retail through gamestop ...

I am hoping if I can use the serial key from retail to be added into steam, anyone can confirm this for me please? I would hope so, wouldn't like to see "Playing Star trek non-steam game" lol.

Meh, more people play Aion compared to other MMOs ... Sort of unfair, lol, but it is to be expected. Especially the best and most disappointment for Aion.
