Guys? Dont be harsh on Jef. Well not for this specious article at least.
He doesn't actually buy into what he is typing (and if he does its only a incidental coincidence). What he is interested in doing is creating controversy to generate page view, he's admitted to as much openly in this very blog. Its painfully transparent and sadly it often works. He'll come up with some strawman or other, formed around a hot button issue de jour, and sit back and watch the comments and page views roll in. In any other internet venue he'd be called a troll, at massively however he is given a pass and is very likely the reason the "soapbox" column was created in the first place as when he first started writing here he was constantly hijacking his own Conan focused column to rant about completely unrelated subjects again in a clear effort to generate page views.
The best way to deal with Jef? If you see a article written by him on this site? Just don't click on it, pass it by. Something I'm going to return to doing after this one comment. Its ashame however that massively doesn't have the functionality to down-vote articles as well as comments (without having to click through of course).
... oh and swimming under water, under water combat and so on and so on. Really amazing trailer and having been a long time fence sitter as to this title my in-game experiences (to date) and this trailer have given me a great deal of hope as to its future.
