The Daily Grind: What's the coolest ride you've had in an MMO?

Mine would have to be my Sleipnir in EVE Online.

The Daily Grind: What's your end-of-the-year MMO to-do list?

Oct 5th 2011 9:17AM (Massively)
I've had a rap sheet for a while now of my plans:

Quit EVE Online. After 5-6 years of playing, I've finally decided to leave. It has nothing to do with Incarna or boredom; but rather wanting to move to to new worlds and new experiences. My two subs will expire in December.

SWTOR launch! Going to take all the knowledge of SWTOR beta and apply it to launch and try to get a decent head start to help out our guild. I've been waiting for this game since KOTOR2 ending since essentially, it is most like a KOTOR3 :)

I am a little disappointed I can't list anything else; Guild Wars 2, The Secret World.

As far as downtime goes though waiting for the SWTOR launch, I'm playing White Knight Chronicles 2 and probably will pick up Battlefield 3 (once I see that bugs are fixed from open beta's build).

The Daily Grind: Which MMO has the best crafting?

Jul 31st 2010 2:23PM (Massively)
I'd have to go with EVE Online. Nothing is as more rewarding as producing a module or ship yourself, whether you sell it on the market or keep it for yourself. There's also no worry about outgrowing these items if you keep them for yourself; you aren't going to reach a point when say the ship you manufactured for yourself is going to become obsolete after you reach a certain point in the game. There is always a place and time when anything you have produced can come in handy.

Aion could be a close second, but the problem I have is the time required to level such skills to a point when the crafting is actually beneficial, and that by the time I have crafted myself a weapon or piece of armor, I'm not going to outlevel it in a day or two. Finding the actual recipes can be very tedious too.

The Daily Grind: Punish or protect?

I'd have to agree with Ben that XP loss is pointless nowadays. There are far more effective ways to punish players for their deaths. I play EVE and Aion which both have pretty harsh ways of handling deaths. Once you start stacking up death counts in Aion at higher levels, you're likely to spend over half a million Kinah just to get your XP back.
