since we're all whining here, i gotta say i can't believe all three of you liked despereaux. that movie was frakkin dreadful and my son asked me to turn it off three times. i wish i would've listened to him but i kept saying, 'hold on, it's about to get good...' and it never did. the only thing i can remember about it is that there was a hole with rats at the bottom and he used his ears to float down there.

well the whole point of teh rpg genre is to play a huge dude kicking ass with a huge sword so i'll have to go chaar and then norn. i'll prolly start 8 norns before hitting all 5 races, just to go back through the snowy starting area.

uhhh... the thing is if they use a brand new engine with brand new graphics for a trailer 18mos before release, then 6mos after release that would make the engine at least two years old. get it? this is a trailer meant to introduce the playable races, not a tech demo, not a gameplay trailer. looking forward to your comments about how the beta is buggy and looks unfinished.

after the first gw2 trailer i tried out the demo for a couple days... this one makes me wanna pony up for the game.

gwj is a horrible name for that podcast. they spent half the last episode talking about the industry itself. they also discussed torchlight for all of 30 seconds, which will be an mmo in 18 mos. that was the extent of the mmo talk, so thanks for recommending it here. also the host spends half his bio blurb hating on wow. tvgp.tv does the whole regular joe gamer podcast 100x better. i'll listen to the last two and maybe the next couple before making up my mind, but i don't see myself going through the last 2 years of episodes like i've done with massively, tvgp, and videogames weekly. yes i have a lot of time to listen to my mp3 player :)

the thought of people running auctioneer on an iphone just makes me hang my head.
