Nothing's going to "kill" WoW for a long time. There is a lot of interest in Warhammer Online though, and if they don't shoot themselves in the foot with a buggy/unpolished game at launch I think the numbers they draw will be pretty surprising for a lot of people.
I'm going to have to jump on the bandwagon and say Murlocs - they really are the quintessential annoying mob. Murlocs have a totally unique battle cry, zany movement patterns (including the sprinting patrols), are often found in/around water where you might miss them, and at times it seems like their social aggro radius is much larger than normal. Murlocs are not fun times.
