The Daily Grind: Have the post-NDA testimonials changed your mind about SWTOR?
Nov 23rd 2011 7:31PM (Massively)Mate, please breathe for a second and read what the others answered to your posts.
They're right and your walls of text hardly make any sense.
"Fantasy" is a well known genre in any works of fiction and that definition is just common sense when talking about a video game. Are you sure you were'nt looking for the term "role playing game"?
Firefall blows up bugs in the new gameplay trailer
Jul 29th 2011 9:18AM (Massively)But that "free 2 play reborn" line made me a wee bit nervous. I smell item shop with pay 2 win.
The Daily Grind: Have you ever dressed up as a game character?
Jul 29th 2011 9:08AM (Massively)I'm with your there. Minus the setting on fire part. :) Though this sums it up qutie nicely: http://encyclopediadramatica.ch/Cosplay
I really don't get why the 10% of hot chicks in costumes justify the 90% of embarrassing attention whores (males included) doing cosplay.
World of Tanks closed beta registrations hit the one million mark
Jan 5th 2011 8:41AM (Massively)You're absolutely right but when playing a battle you simply don't feel that the game as a whole is massive - there are just those few people on the same map as you.
Also, the strategic part connecting these short engagements is just a mechanic stuck onto the actual game to keep score for the more enthusiastic players. It's not that achieving a strategic victory changes anything important or has a big influence on the persistent game world.
It really is just an "OK" online shooter with tanks. :)
World of Tanks closed beta registrations hit the one million mark
Jan 4th 2011 2:17PM (Massively)Seriously, guys, it's an MP Shooter with tanks and a reward-system. Nothing special though a lot of fun for those 10 minutes of fun between your playing sessions with your actual MMO.
The Daily Grind: What game do you play even though you suck?
Jan 4th 2011 6:41AM (Massively)But the one thing I simply never seem to be able to master or even get "acceptable" at is PVP. Doesn't matter which MMO, as long as it's got cooldown abilities, crowd control, critical hits and whatnot in it, I'm toast.
Shooters - no problem, Warhammer Online - where did that come from? World of Warcraft - wtf, I'm dead already?!
That's why I love to play EVE Online. Yeah, doesn't quite make sense but I feel that PVPing in that game in big battles or small engagements with a good fleet commander makes me feel a lot more confident. Also, I simply like that a lot of fights are only picked after a lot of consideration.
That being said - trying to solo in EVE usually ends in desaster for me. :)
LEGO Universe nabs three awards and steals Germany's heart
Oct 21st 2010 4:23AM (Massively)And although I'm afraid Lego Universe might be a bit too much of a kids game, I would give it a try just for the idea of making my favorite toy into an MMO.
The 11th Commandment: Thou shalt play The Bible Online
Sep 1st 2010 6:01PM (Massively)Wow, if this game is going to be a success, life really IS a piece of sh*t.
The Daily Grind: What class will you never, ever play?
Aug 18th 2010 9:19AM (Massively)Also Bards...what the heck are they anyways? I don't get the idea behind them and luckily most MMOs don't even bother offering this class.
Gamescom 2010: Reakktor releases new Black Prophecy trailer
Aug 18th 2010 8:05AM (Massively)Also, if BP is like EVE but with arcady combat, I am all for it. And I am saying that as a very satisfied EVE subscriber.
The item shop is something I am somewhat suspicious of though.
