Guild Wars 2 console version confirmed

Feb 15th 2012 12:26PM (Massively)
Well, before we jump to doom and gloom here, lets consider facts first.

1) we already know what the UI looks like, so its not going to get "dumbed down" for consoles.

2) We already know they have made the choice to limit your skills bar to 10, so that's not getting changed.

3) They stated that the game will be released this year, so its nearing the final stages, meaning that what we saw either A) includes their effort to console-ify the game, or its not going change drastically for consoles.

From what we know of the game, who cares? If the game had your interest by now, its not going to get worse because they have a beta going around and its not going to make any drastic changes.

I hope it allows cross play, so my friends who do not play on PCs can play with me.

DICE promises vigilance against Battlefield 3 cheaters

On the 360, I was shot by a guy who was in an enclosed room on the other side of the map (Point E at Sharqi, I was at point A) with a pistol. It was obviously a cheat, and I was pissed.

@pid That was a really cool glitch, but I thought it was a study and done on purpose. Maybe that was someone saying they could use it as a study. Either way, it was a great study on the human psyche concerning a breakout disease beyond control

@(Unverified) Co-op with just one other person would make any Elderscrolls my dream game. They are, in my opinion, so well crafted and human interaction can only make them better.

Leaderboard: Champions Online's Defender vs. City of Heroes' Statesman

Defender is boring, That is my biggest complaint about CO, the characters are boring and not developed enough. Statesman was a brilliantly created character. I chose Statesman because he is way more interesting, to me.

Which Captain America. That looks like Steve Roger's costume, but I'm hoping for it to be Bucky!

@Rhodanum Well hopefully you don't act on it! Chewing through your keyboard can be a costly dental visit! Plus then you have to find a new keyboard, and I hate interviewing potential keyboard candidates.

@(Unverified) Download the free trial (levels 1-10) and see if its worth your money. I really really want to like WAR, but I just don't think its worth the same amount as some of the greater MMOs

never played this, but after giving Runes of Magic a try and enjoying it, i would be more than willing to give this game a try as well.

PAX 2011: Massively's hands-on with WildStar

Ruby, can you tell me if this is going to be a F2P or subscription model game? Either way I'm interested, but more likely to pick it up if its F2P these days.

Im hoping for a base price for the game with no subs (like GW/the future GW2).

Other than that, it sounds like my cup of tea.

PS love the podcast!
