Just started playing, and after figuring out how to make my 8800GT play nice with the game, I am enjoying it. Only annoyance, is that I greyed out many tasks before I got them, and now can't do them. (well lack of storage space is a pain too). Oh well, newb mistake, live and learn. I do think I am a bit over powered as a Hobbit Hunter, and leveling is too fast, but all in all a good time.
It is super EZ mode for little kids. My 7 yr old Nephew even thinks it's too easy. Serious question here, don't people want challenge anymore? Are you all too busy tweeting to pay attention to the game, or do you actually like being spoon fed?
" Dave Georgeson is apparently focusing much more on EverQuest Next"
In other words, the big corporation has rewarded him for his incompetence. How typical. Any hope I had for EQ Next, (no matter how small), has vanished. Come on Copernicus.
Awesome, so I can get 2 days of free play time? If I remember right, I hit 16 on my first day, and I was just running around doing quests, and rifts. What exactly are they supposed to be giving away?
Have they actually slowed the leveling? Or is it still, as one dev put it, "fast leveling to get you to end game, where the game really starts", type deal. The game was nice to look at, but was so overly casual friendly, that it was a joke.
The content in the DLC was not finished when the game went gold, meaning it is not on the disc. They have now finished the content, and are GIVING it away on day one. Why is this a problem?
As far as people complaining about needing the internet to down load, how is it that you are posting here, presumably using the internet, in the first place?
And for the people angry because they might not be able to get the code in a used game.../facepalm. You don't deserve the codes if you buy used. Buying used does not help the industry, it only helps second hand sellers. You want new games, but don't want to support the people who make them...Logic fail.
I am looking forward to vanishing from society for a time when Reckoning comes out. The demo was an old build, and the issues with the camera have been fixed according to the devs.
Copernicus, is now the only MMO title I am remotely interested in, I am dying for more info. The IP is really looking amazing, and the tidbits of lore being released are really nice. The potential for a real MMO, made by real MMO fans might just save the genre for me. So nice to know Curt is something of a core gamer. No more EZ mode please.
No you could not be more wrong. Reckoning is a single player RPG, that is a precursor to an as yet unnamed MMO known as project Copernicus. Reckoning should absolutely be judged on its merits as a single player game. How much gameplay is carried over to Copernicus is completely unknown.
That being said, the demo is from an older build, (3 removed from the current final build), so many of the bugs have already been addressed. This build had to be used, unfortunately, because a 3rd party was producing the demo.
