Well if you knew what you were posting about, you'd see it differently.
Glad I did as well as being a founder. I get a free VIP membership out of it. Don't have to spend a cent and make 500 points a month and get all the content, etc. Lifetime members are making out very nicely on this deal.
Nobody has pointed this out yet, but GW has to do this. It's the nature of trademarks. If you don't vigorously defend them with actions like this, you will lose them. If GW lets this slide, then when someone else down the road actually tries to infringe, they can point to GW not doing anything about WA and claim GW doesn't want or care about their IP anymore.
It's ugly, but that's our "system" of TMs and IP.
Yes, GW is a British company but their marks are registered here too.
I get to character select in under 3 seconds and from there into game in under 13 seconds. Zoning usually takes under a second but can take as long as 2 seconds. No more stuttering of any kind in game either.
Very interested in this game after the success of the Dawn of War series. Also, after playing through Darksiders from Vigil and looking closely at the character designs and animations: yes, Vigil can do a 40K game justice.
Clarification: Warhammer 40K is from Games Workshop. THQ has the license to produce video games in that universe and Vigil is the studio under THQ that is actually doing the 40K MMO. The article really left that unclear.

These are not failed by any stretch and they're excellent RPGs. Deathwatch is on the horizon too to round out the trilogy of games.
