Play through the baby nelf zone - the lore is explained throughout the zone. At the end of the zone, there's an epic quest where you do the last bit of cleanup of Fandral's mess.

I think heirlooms exist primarily to level through Outland. :D

Like other people have said, I plan on leveling my Worgen without heirlooms until I head to Outland, then I'm going to want every heirloom I can get a hold of until 78, when I'll remove them again to enjoy the rest of the new content. :)

Lord of the Rings online does a great job of wardrobe management by allowing you to save the look of any piece of clothing or armor and use that as what you show to the world. So, for instance you pick up a nice dress out outfit, you can save the LOOK of that (not the stats) and then when you get to town, you can change your outward appearance to look like that dress (even though you're still wearing T-10 armor). When people inspect you they see the armor that you're wearing.

I'm guessing this might not be feasible in WoW because of PvP... dunno.

I wonder how she keeps all of her wardrobe. She must have all the biggest bank bags possible!

Have the level 20-60 quests in the newly-revamped Old World been updated with the newer mechanics brought in with BC and WotLK? I.e. Bombing missions, vehicles, etc etc. I know there's some of that in the new starting zones, but I wonder if it's been extended to the rest of the game up to Outland...

Also, what's the story impetus now for players to even bother going to Outlands or WotLK?

Yay for Chinese WoW players, but I don't really give a damn about the plight of the game in China. I'm not really sure how it affects Western (Americas and Europe and Australia) at all.

I think this is more indicative of the fact that operating systems are becoming irrelevant and people are purchasing the machine over the operating system. A mac can run windows just as well or better than any "pc" nowadays. Apple provides superior products, period.

There's TONS of stuff that Blizzard has left unfinished. The Emerald Dream/Nightmare portals come to mind. There are very large, totally unused areas scattered across Azeroth.

Ultimately, I'm ok with that. It makes the world feel larger - like there are other things going on that we're just not part of.

I was in Howling Fjords yesterday and noticed the Storm Giant stomping away down the hill. Not too long after that the ground started shaking again just like he was right on top of me. I freaked out looking for him, but he was nowhere to be seen. Maybe it was one of these Shaker guys...

Yeah - I'm really only referring to the 1-70 levelling time. Maybe part of their retooling is to set the content so that you can go just as fast from 1-60 (at least) and not feel like you're missing a lot. Hardly anyone fools around in the Plaguelands anymore. Maybe that's part of what's going to be changed...
