You know she retired right? With little warning and lots of anger. I'll try to dig that up sometime.

I'm surprised there hasn't been a Harry Potter MMO yet. Sure it might be geared a bit younger but it might make a killing if it actually played well.

Everyone I know that has signed up has gotten a key tonight. Must not be too 'exclusive'. :)

I might grab this again if they patched it down to 'doesn't take a billion bloody hours to do anything at all'.

WRUP: Beautiful and unique edition

Massively should do a story about how Cryptic is giving 60 free days of game time (equaling 90 in addition to the game purchase) from ordering directly from Atari in the next week.

Meanwhile, all the pre-orders and launch week people get to pay $15 as normal.

Huge scam or desperate reach out for numbers?

Star Trek Online offers two new races in online store

You know, everyone that enters a retail key gets 500 of their 'points'. To get both of those races costs 320 total points.

Yeah.

One Shots: Star Trekkin' across the universe

I like it enough that after several weeks of CB and now a few days of OB, I preordered it. This is highly unusual for me. It already seems well balanced, and I highly doubt Cryptic will drop another zero day balance patch on it.

For some reason it just doesn't feel like it's grindy, it's a bit slow to level from 1-10, and I know for a fact it goes much quicker after 11 :)

I can't exactly explain why I like it so much. Possibly I'm just so tired of everything else.

Yes, I was burned by CO, but I like this enough that I'm not going to run around screaming 'omg Cryptic makes it...run away'.

There are some really annoying bugs, like the 2nd patrol mission that I've still never gotten to finish over four characters in CB and OB, because they simply won't rename the system like they should have. (The old Mec in Orion bug.)

The only real drawback to the game are the forums and the in-game chat. I really could care less if people hate the game with nerdrage and fury, it's unnecessary that they fill forums and the freakin game with it. I do find it amusing that people downloaded, installed, and went through the trouble of getting and OB key just to log in and rant about how stupid the people that enjoy themselves must be. Seems like a bit of effort.

Still, they just get ignored and I continue on having a good time.

I can't help but wonder what you would buy in a Jesus Simulator cash shop :)

Like I said, I enjoyed it. I pre-ordered it, I'm going to play it. Yes, I played CO, no I did not like that. This is a different beast.

If one does not like the cash shop feel free not to use it. If one does not like the game or it's concept, it doesn't really affect me one way or the other.

CB was good. OB will be a mess with thousands of new people jamming themselves into it at the start. So will retail. But it will even out and I will still have fun. Isn't that all that matters really?
