Funcom=Fail, they did it once, they will do it again. When will people learn not to trust Funcon and Cryptic... Not a single game, which didn't turn to free to play.
It is supposed to be great. Everyone expected it to be great. It had to be great....ok, but why I don't really feel it that way, probably because there on the horizon, there isn't that object that caught my attention and made me think several times, I gotta go there. Maybe because not a single time in this game did I felt the emotion to wonder, what is behind that narrow rock path, or man, what a dissapointment was when I realised that imperial fleet looks exactly the same as the republic fleet...it's so repeateble, all the environments, three mob pulls, the mandatory elite boss at the end of the quest line, so predictable. I expected it so much, but I am dissapointed. That;s why I don't play the game.
Does anyone really feel excited about this game? Funcom are really good at building hype (e.g. Age of Conan), so only after you buy it, you realize how screwed you are. AoC at launch wasn't even in beta level, it was so buggy in every aspect, unplayable. Don't get into this hype thing they are creating, it will lead to dissapointment very quickly...
This is what we get when the other companies outhere can't really match blizzard's work and aren't really competitive. Here in Europe Starcraft 2 costs around 40% more than the other PC games, pets selling 20 euro each, and now 150 dollar ticket to some exhibition? Come on, does it include breakfast, lunch and dinner? I guess no. These guys really deserve something to bring them down on earth, I hope SWTOR will get close to this!
No it is not ridiculos. Their games are crap and a total failure, there is no power on this planet that will make me give them money again. They are amateurs and they should not be allowed to lie and mislead people again.
I'm more hyped to Cataclysm to be honest, have some expectations about the AOC Godslayer and kinda forgot about SWTOR. SWTOR actually doesn't raise my expectations as according to what we can see from the game till now it isn't showing too much actually, except it's graphics, the classes and that it aims at the single play or a cooperative play at best. This is what I see now.
They should be sued for not delivering what everyone expected - a mmo game. Companies take around 5 years to develop a good mmo game and charge us the same price as Cryptic charge people for proto games. This is ridiculous and I feel lied and fooled.... I will never buy a game with their brand on it.
Open beta is a very good thing. STO open beta gave me very good reason to cancel my preorder and never trust Cryptic anymore. Regarding the beta defenders, I think what they are doing is only justifying their expectations and this is only a slow way to realize that the product is for the trash can.
