@Sente Sorry for late reply. I tried Going Rogue content 3-4 months ago and stopped playing before the free month expired, it was same old gameplay, the new zones were limited to lvl 20 and below content, and there some bugs in the new zone that should have been fixed already because i could not complete some quests because of that. The new power profilirations are good, but they do not change the way you play a class, just add some variety to the powers. In short, COH has not changed its gameplay and missions with a wall of text in 7 years. Although CO was promising story telling through animations with voice overs and nemesis, it did not deliver anything better than COH, but this kind of old-school MMO approach will not fly when TOR will allow for full voice overs and more dynamic combat.
Give me Mass Effect in an MMO setting and that will be awesome, because while COH is still the best super-hero MMO on the market, it has not aged well at all.
When COH goes F2P, I will come back just to be there with my friends. It was my first MMO and it still the one that I measure other games against. However, the reuse of the same boring maps and lack of interesting storytelling got to go. In the age when full voice overs and huge shared worlds are a common thing, COH cannot continue to just fly by on whatever massive content and history it has built over the years. I wish for more dynamic content, better stories and more active combat in CoH, alas that is not going to happen.
@Saerain Maybe it was short not as grindy as the Eastern market is used to. So PWE asked Crytpic to slow down the leveling curve and add more items to cash shop. To make it more immersive I am sure.
Yes and No. DUST is not out yet, knowing CCP it would not be out for a while. A patent could have enough legal weight in case of a legal action to stop DUST from happening altogether. However, since both Nintendo and CCP are ind different countries, enforcing such legal action would be very, very difficult.
I think people fall to crime in EvE because they are actually trying to play it without getting bored. If you never risked anything and just played by the rules the game would be too boring to play, end of the story.
Everything takes too long and very tedious, this is why taking stupid shortcuts gets players to fall for scams like that.
It is a bribe, and I am not interested. As much as i love the sci-fi feel of EvE, the game is just too much work. Let's hope for Mass Effect MMO in the future, because I am playing the original right now and loving it.
@TyrionLannister Eve is a great game with a very committed user base who do not easily forgive or forget. Just watch the Butterfly effect video about how committed (in the worse sense of the word) they can be.
CCP is spreading love around now all over, expect invitations to experience Incarna for free for 5 days right now. I got one and still not sure if i want to dive into this "rabid" hole that sucks your soul and time.
