Friends 'til the End flies out of 'What Would Molydeux?' 2012

@TRONdll

It wasn't purely web-based, but there were arms of it taking place simultaneously across the globe.

PS3/Vita title Warrior's Lair not canceled, says Sony

@GreenElf

Same here. Dumping the developer this late in the game isn't promising, either.

I'd really love a good Diablo clone for Vita. It's a shame that the closest thing available is that overpriced garbage from Gameloft.

Assassin's Creed 3 special editions bound for Europe

Awesome! Tiered day 1 DLC for single AND multiplayer! I only dreamed that the single player campaign would feel a little diminished by something cool like a ruined Mayan temple being DLC. Dreams do come true.

At least the multiplayer DLC appears to be cosmetic.

Thanks for resetting my expectations already, Ubisoft. I was almost ready to throw money at you on launch day for this game.

Bethesda has no comment on Prey 2 cancellation rumor

@Once known as Shadsy

I suspect that's what's happening.

The game appeared to be a pretty huge departure from Prey, aside from hints at appearances/interactions with Tommy.

They're probably thinking that the "Prey" name would either weigh this game down, or plant a bunch of false implications about what the game is in the minds of fans of the first game.

Plus, I'm sure Bethesda would rather it be the start of a new IP than a continuation of an IP that they didn't publish.

Regardless, "no comment," is the weakest dodge in the book.

Mass Effect 3 player feedback spawns 'content initiatives,' details in April

@FROMtheASHES777

I agree with you on how the ending will look in retrospect if the Indoctrination Theory pans out... if they give us the "explanation" for free.

Given that there wasn't any free Day-1 DLC, like Zaeed in ME2, I assume it will be.

If you ask me (which you didn't, but we'll pretend you did), the ending was always a setup for DLC. I mean, at the very very end, you get a message telling you to buy DLC.

That, coupled with the "Indoctrination Theory" that's been floating around, seems to support this premise.

I believe BioWare didn't foresee this negative of a reaction to the ending. I suspect they thought we'd all be having these deep philosophical debates about what it all means, whether any of it was real, etc.

But, that's crazy. Of course people are going to take it at face value. And, regardless of any possible mind tricks, there's still a lack of variety of outcomes.

Everything about this is a debacle.

SoulCalibur 5's upcoming DLC has maid costumes, more swimsuits

@Cypher FDP

Ugh. Foiled by the Joystiq comment section. That "thankyou" in the address bar for a failed post is soooo insulting.

Anywho, concision...

On disc DLC sucks, it speaks more to the root of the problems with DLC in competitive multiplayer-- everyone has to have the DLC, or it's pointless.

Functionally, this will be the same as on disc DLC. Everyone will have to download the store (which will surely include all the data for the DLC), but you won't have access to it unless you pay. The only difference is the timeframe in which its released.

Both methods are better than releasing bits of DLC piecemeal, though. Then you run in to issues like Mortal Kombat suffered, with matches falling apart because your DLC doesn't match your opponent's.

Todd McFarlane says Project Copernicus is coming this year

@Dumac

There's a lot of competition from other games that have had multi-year marketing pushes, though.

It does strike me as a little crazy for a game that no one seems to know anything about to launch against stuff like Guild Wars 2 and WoW: Mists of Pandaria.

I'm considering replaying ME and ME2 with a default femshep.

I've never liked Mark Meer's nasal drone of a voice, and I don't want to deal with the import issues, so a brand new lady Shepard seems like the best option.

Other than that, I'll be throwing heat in The Show and wandering the desert in Journey.

Well, if I had to say one thing about cock shitting... it's surprisingly enjoyable.
