My favorite system was a DKP system during Vanilla. Everyone was awarded points for time spent in the raid and for what items dropped off the boss. All loot had some value assigned to it and that was the price that it cost to buy it, and the value also determined the amount of DKP everyone else got for it dropping. If no one that needed it could afford it, I believe it went to a random roll (if I remember correctly). I remember my Hunter in full Beaststalker stockpiled his DKP and then looted every piece of Hunter gear that dropped in one night. Went from 0 to 5/8 Giantstalker in a few hours.
Haha, these profiles are so true. Knowing that, I believe either the title is off or all MMO's are hell. You can't log on for 10 minutes of any game and not encounter at least one of each of these people.
Best experience I've had was in WoW, pre-BC in the Iron Jackals guild on Darkspear. Everyone was so helpful to one another and there was a strong sense of community. We were fairly successful at raiding, but there was so much more to it than that. Unfortunately, I was only 14-15 at the time and too immature to really notice how good it was, and left in search of hardcore raiding. Biggest gaming mistake I've ever made. I'd love to play something with the core of those guys again

Good times I haven't played too many MMO's at launch, but I would definitely say tha,t despite the problems, WoW was still good enough to keep me hooked from the beginning. Age of Conan's launch for me was a disaster of graphical issues, poor balancing and storyline disappointment (after Tortage). I played it during one of their come-back-for-free campaigns and was impressed by how much they had worked on the issues.
Lawsuits have just gotten way out of hand. Playing a video game for 12 hours a day with routine must be a rare level of video game addiction, and there should be no way for him to win this case. This man's weakness should not be rewarded when millions of other people manage their playtime with ease. It's also ridiculous that he is making a claim for $3 million because even if he was in the right with this case (he isn't), I highly doubt his 5 year income would be anywhere near this value. More likely, it would be around $200,000. From that, I'd subtract the costs he cut from paying $15 dollars a month and using that as a sole source of entertainment. If I were the judge, I'd buy the guy a Happy Meal out-of-pocket and tell him to get that joke out of my courtroom.
