I had the driver problem too. If I can play AOC and SWG without issue, I'm certainly not going to update my drivers for this.

Has anyone actually gotten in game? It tells me my drivers are out of date in both IE and Firefox. I'm pretty sure if I can play SWG and AOC without issue that it's not my drivers. Or else they (soe) are ridiculous.

Nope, I'm just not playing on Starsider. FWIW, I'm trying to find a DE on Shadowfire to help provide things I need. Besides, is the crafting in any other game comparable to SWG? Harvesting that doesn't involve running up to a "deposit" or "tree limb" (think AoC or EQ2), and clicking? Crafting where ingredients matter (I'm guessing EVE comes close/even). One that (although the prof's aren't even) still offers a wide variety of items to make? And DE is going to get a revamp "soon" so you can't really complain compared to former chefs or AS's. FWIW, structures/shipwrights are the best trader class, but we still need things from others (or at least structures/BM's do). I'm not saying SWG is perfect w/ their trader profs, but it is head and shoulders above anything else (that I know of, ignorance may be present). What would you say provides better player crafting? I ask because my knowledge is limited to SWG, EQ2, and AoC. I don't do WoW, EVE, WAR, or others. If they have good crafting, let me know. I'm basing my posts off of my recent experience leveling a structures guy (I want to build my own houses and build halfway decent space parts for my space toons).

I honestly don't know how you can say player housing is a debacle when a) it exists in a "players can place" mode as opposed to apartment mode and b) there are planets besides Tatooine. I prefer Talus myself, from a landscape pov, though my house is currently on Naboo. I really can't stand Tatooine and wish the playerbase would shift away from the ME cantina for a central meeting ground.

I do have to say to all the sweater fanatics, that there's a 90% chance that SWG will still have the deepest player crafting, player economy, space sim (big win), and player housing (big win) of any SW mmo out there and really of any other mmo's out there. Again, I may be ignorant of some others that offer player housing, but please don't mention EVE and space combat. I'm referring to twitch space combat (although JGE is "around the corner" just like sweater is). As long as LA doesn't give the finger to SOE and SWG players, SWG will be around for awhile. SOE's recent announcements are (IMO) an indication of the commitment they have to keeping SWG going.

Now if only they would improve either the graphics look or graphical performance, we'd be set. AoC shouldn't run better than SWG on a modern pc :)

Wow, got a bunch of haters here don't we? Have any of you played the game recently or are you just folks who still aren't over the NGE? I have to say the announcements that have come out so far today (and we haven't even had GCW yet) from Fan Faire are pretty significant. I'm not aware of anything like the Chronicles system available in any other current MMO.
