I'll agree to that last part. All APB needed in the first place was a little more time in the oven. Anyone who can give it the TLC it deserves and a proper re-release is a saint in my book.
Ever since Star Peace, I've wanted to see more games showcase economic competition as opposed to competition by overt violence (see also: EVE's Market PvP). Cities XL seems to be developing quite well on the idea, and in a very pretty package to boot!
