Popular or not, according to a discussion thread on MMO Champ, some returning SoR customers have logged in and found a million gold sitting in the bank of their characters, and then been promptly banned by Blizzard. There's enough accounts in the thread of this happening to make the story seem credible enough on the surface at least, along with screencaps and whatnot.

...If true, now that's a welcome back to the game I'm sure these people won't forget...

Five flame shocks (and just as many instant lavabursts if the first volley did not crispify you) later and you'll be both dead and nowhere near close enough to psychic scream that multiboxer... Chances are he'll just trinket out of it anyhow and re-form his group; it's unlikely he'd be assaulted often enough to have his trinket on constant cooldown.

Solo assaults on multiboxers are simply doomed to failure under nearly every situation. Especially against such a strong healer/damage combination as elemental shamen.

The concern that pet battles would take resources away from raid (model) creation may SEEM like a valid one on the surface, but it's not much truth in it really, because the people that make raids aren't the same people that program the pet battle system (and particularly, neither of those two groups are 3D graphics artists capable of designing boss models.)

It takes specific skill sets to do each of these tasks, and they don't neccessarily overlap much, if at all. Blizzard therefore has separate teams with separate staff, handling different aspects of the game. It's like blaming Ghostcrawler for the crappy human and orc player models; it's not his job taking care of that bit.

Personally, I can't quite fathom Blizzard's reasoning on a number of levels. We've lived with insect swarm as a dot since the original druid talent makeover back in vanilla WoW, and they decide NOW to change it to something completely different? I feel like I'm in a Monty Python episode or something.

For what reason do they have to screw with our insect swarm? Make a new ability if you want to give us new abilities for chrissakes!

Never assume conspiracy when simple incompetence will suffice... :)
