Fallen Earth state of the game letter details upcoming content

Feb 5th 2011 3:47AM (Massively)
Sweet mama jebus, those skill changes will make me resub, i love this game but the amount of skills just overwhelms you and id rather we have a few well thought out skills than a huge collection of skills that all seem to overlap.

If they now would just improve their inventory system i would be in heaven.

I'd say LOTRO, altho im not a huge fan of the books the atmosphere in the game is kick ass, i play LOTRO to relax and just enjoy myself.

Fallen Earth: The inventory system badly needs a overhaul, the confirmation dialogs alone makes me want to shot myself. Autoloot needs to be smarter, i.e. give preference to the items already in your inventory that stack. The mount animation is nice, but takes sooooo much time.

WoW: The heavy focus on pvp/raiding. I would like for them to implement housing and maybe overhaul crafting also.

The Daily Grind: Real ID disaster averted... or is it?

@Jack If anything we need more articles about this, more people talking about it. When a huge game company like blizzard suddenly steps up and says 'Screw privacy' then it is a big deal. And the in game Real ID system may seem dreamy but they could have easily implemented that one without revealing your real name, so in the end that system is equally flawed.

@Raze You can't possibly be this short sighted, don't you see the huge issue this would create if it had gone thru. And to boot it wouldn't really have solved the forum trolling, eased it certainly, but people will always troll, rant and rage. And to be honest you seem a prime example of it.

Everyone makes mistakes, what i find more worrying is that they actually thought this would be a good idea. Reading from a blue post this was something they had thought about for a long time and not just willy nilly decided to implement.

This isn't some game mechanic were blizzard can argue that they know better than us, they usually don't, how it will pan out in the long run. How can blizzard as a game company so completely loose touch with not only their player base, but also with common sense.

I am pretty sure we haven't seen the last of Real ID, i am sure it will creep up once again in a reworked form.

@Jarin Jebus, the quality was so shitty i assumed that it was in game. So not only is it pointless, it is even badly made, excellent.

"Again, Cryptic Studios developed STO in half the time most studios spend on MMOs..."

This is something to be proud of if STO had been of solid quality. But as a former subscriber that seems far from the truth. As of now this statement says more of cryptics mission, to churn out mmo's by the bucket, than to focus on quality.

Brilliant, yet another trailer that show zero game play and just trash talks the competition. Or not even competition, i mean, is there a huge crossover between driving a tank and NFS?

Oh well, atleast we can see that the graphics engine seems complete shit.

Official forum changes, real life names to be displayed

Jul 6th 2010 1:52PM (WoW)
Jiminy Cricket, im pretty liberal with sharing my RL information online and even in games. But this move makes me hesitate even playing the game. Over the year's i have meet some brilliant people that i haven't hesitated to share RL information with, but i have also meet people on the other end of that scale that i would never ever in a million years share anything with, they are just to creepy. Im all for cleaning up the pit that is wow forums, but really, if that was their intentions they could just have implemented a zero toleranze policy on ass hattery comments. It's not hard to spot them, just freaking swing that banhammer account wide and make it permanent.
