An interesting concept but implementation would be rough. There is no way to truly filter out undesirable players. Any type of segregating is only bound to encourage the hardcore griefers.
I may pay extra, but it really depends on the game, server rules, enforcement, and community.
I've upgraded my PC simply to play 1 game over the years. The first time I went from 4 MB ram to 32 MB Ram to Play Diablo multiplayer. It only required 16 MB but I figured I would go to 32 MB to future proof my machine.........for 5 minutes.
As far as consoles? I've owned a few but never purchased one for the sake of playing a single game. My purchases were usually fueled by the desire to play a multitude of games on the system. I currently do not own a PS3 and if I hadn't gotten one by now, then Dust isn't going to make much of a difference. The real shame is that a PC release for DUST would of been ear marked for purchase in my game budget. But maybe later down the road.
I miss it. Sure we have other mediums for creativity however, nothing would have the same impact as coming across an original story in game that you would otherwise never read.
I imagine that this will not be a problem. I bet they set it up as one character per account. So the only folks who could do this would have to have 2 accounts which means 2 subs.
Allies aren't guild mates but other guilds your associated with. Where as Adversaries are guilds that you have a rivalry with. What they are basically saying is that while your guild mates will end up on the same server, you may not be placed on the same server as the other guilds you are associated with.
"(silenced weapons, rapid fire sniper rifles, etc)"
Lets clarify something here. One weapon has Silencer (The Whisper). While the Silencer gives a negligible increase to range and makes the gun quiet, It get out performed by a 2 OCA easily. To be honest a 1 slot OCA with CJ3 never has an issue dropping Whisper users. As far as the Sniper rifle the HVR Scout, its far from rapid fire. The TTK (Time to Kill) is on par with the DMR sniper rifle. And coming from someone who plays at allot, Its been over a week since I encountered a player using the HVR-Scout.
One comment directed on those who keep bringing up the ARMAS prices. Not all guns are 60 dollars. The have price ranges setup for testing. it has been posted on the forums numerous time they set price ranges across the board as a way to see what players are willing to pay for the weapons. Personally I wouldn't pay more for 15 dollars for a permanent weapon but one thing I do enjoy is the fact that the open slotted weapons are unlocked via kills. This means a free player without premium is always working to get a better weapon.
"some mmo on the market are f2p like league of legend some are just pay 2 win like APB:R."
I already showed that APB is in fact not pay to win. As some one who has played the game since its inception with RTW through its current state , if it were pay 2 win I would of moved on by now. The real problem is uninformed opinions like yours. You label APB Pay 2 Win but ignore evidence that points to the contrary. APB is Free to Play. The Item shop provides cosmetic items and some weaponry that a player will eventually make obsolete by dedicating some time to the game. Anyone who thinks they are overpowered falls into the category of Neither having tried said weapons, or is under the principle belief that they only died because the color of the guys gun is gold.
"As for trying it out cos it's free? There's so many free games out there nowadays but your time is limited. Will you eat any free food i serve into your mouth? "
I love analogies. It seems to be a favorite past time of Naysayers to come up with creative ways of trying insult someone's opinion of a product. Food my friend is not a luxury, it is required to live. In the case of games they are for entertainment. You don't need games to live.
Now let me tell you why my recommendation holds more credibility than yours. You say go to a third party site to find out about a game. Well given that its third party the validity of any information presented is called in to serious questioning.
If anything a person having interest in a specific genre is more than enough a reason to pick up the game and try. I hardly believe that someone looking for a new Free Game looks at a random list and picks. What I do believe is that they lock down a genre they want which makes things much easier. In the case of APB, right now their is nothing else like it. Sure other Free shooters may exist but APB is very unique in its approach.
