The Daily Grind: What pen-and-paper RPG would make a great MMO?
Aug 4th 2011 8:58AM (Massively)The Daily Grind: What pen-and-paper RPG would make a great MMO?
Aug 4th 2011 8:16AM (Massively)The great grand-daddy of all sci-fi RPGs is still one of the best out there. It has all the scope of an epic and mysterious interstellar conflict and yet works right down to the personal level. The lore of the Traveller universe spans our own history and a few thousand years into the future with well though out alien psychology and political motives. There are Psionics, powered armor, mercenaries, pirates, enourmous ships, little ships, royalty, mega-corperations, uplifted species, engineered humans, ancient alien civilizations (both dead and still alive).
For an MMO, I think Traveller has something for everyone.

Jan 18th 2011 3:51PM (Massively)Not knowing the game mechanics but familiar with the MMO Archtypes, and keeping in with the weather here in New England, how about a snow-boarding girl turned superhero called Jackie Frost. Ice powers, flight, that sort of thing.
Perhaps the wrong combination of Mountain Dew and a wipe-out into an electrical transformer gave her special powers.
Or maybe she got bitten by a neo-Yetti!!!
