Does it really matter? Blizzard could put a pile of steaming doggie doo into a box, call it an MMO, and it would get the same level of unabashed slobbering that every single one of their products gets. It seems that Blizzard is the only game company one earth that has a 'get out of criticism free' card.

I couldn't agree more! The entire superhero genre is supposed to be about fun and no small amount of goofiness. As soon as they got to the scene with the giant Dr. Destroyer robot sitting on the giant throne I mentally high-fived myself.

Meet yo for some in-game items? Sure, I'd love to...if only the devs would fix that tiny annoying little bug...you know, the one that makes the game crash so hard that it reboots my entire system whenever I try to launch the game...

Hmm, the elves look really good! now if the game would do something radical, like run on my computer without crashing the instant it gets to the character creation screen, I'd definately play them!

Personally, I couldn't give two spits about this game, except for one little thing: Will we be able to play villains? I have zero interest in playing a hero, but being able to play a DC-style bad guy? that could be a hoot.

I had my doubts with the extended dev time and all, but I gotta admit that this game is looking seriously good. It'll be a refreshing change of pace from the usual 'kill monsters and take their stuff' drek we've had shoved down our throats for the past few years.
