@Stormwalker You can call it Cosmic Power if you want, it's still Magic by any other name.

[Updated] City of Heroes Animal Packs on sale now -- get yours free from Massively!

Feb 23rd 2011 3:14PM (Massively)
After 7 years of playing CoH, I have a huge number of animal-themed characters, from the Claws Scrapper Razor Raccoon to the pugilistic powerhouse and Duke of Dis-Orient Boom-Boom the Panda.

But using the animal pack I will add my newest character to the stable: Superbull!

Here's a pic:

Someone made a comment of "Look out below!" but have you seen the size of the statues in Paragon City?

You can alter how many effects you see from various sources. Turn down some of them, turn down all of them, your choice.

SDCC 2010: Melissa Bianco on lessons and innovations in City of Heroes Going Rogue

Jul 27th 2010 4:06PM (Massively)
I think what people like Valdamar are missing is that Going Rogue's new "branching missions" feature means that there is far more content than the typical 1-20 level range.

With 4 new powersets available and the ability to go either the Hero or Villain route (or somewhere in between with Rogue and Vigilante), that gives the new 1-20 content a ton more playability than the similar levels in either CoH or CoV.

Naturally I don't bother to read the text on familiar content, but I do on anything new. Witness the recent "Dark Mirror" issue where you fight new archvillians and even evil clones of your own character. Those strings of missions weren't a huge amount of content, but going through them a few times each (so I could experience the nuances of the different responses you could choose from) really gave me the feeling of experiencing City of Heroes all over again.

The Dark Mirror issue stuff really felt fresh, and that was working within the constraints of the current City of Heroes. With an all-new zone featuring completely new enemies and factions and the ability to make choices along the way? Yeah, I won't exactly be burning through that content.

A Mild-Mannered Reporter: For the greater good

This article eloquently summed up the appeals of Cole's society. Based on everything I've read to date, it seems like I'd side with the Loyalists. I'm interested in seeing the justification of the other side, because on the face of it opposition to this system seems foolish.

The Daily Grind: How bad is your altitis?

I have one of the worst cases of altitis known to man. I suffer gladly.

Here's proof:

Video shows CCP's incredible cloth and hair simulation

Looks pretty. But it's CCP, the company that cheats players in favor of Devs, so I'd never play it.

New Star Trek Online video shows tactical combat, UI

They definitely need to tone down that overly busy UI. Some of the things like the shield strength indicators are redundant, having them both on the ship in space and on the UI.

I'd apply, but I already have the rep as the "guy who hates everything."
